Out in the Silence comes to Lebanon County
|
Out in the Silence is an award-winning documentary
following the events that unfolded after a firestorm of controversy was
ignited by the publication of a same-sex wedding announcement in the
newspaper in the small town of Oil City, PA.
Producers
Joe Wilson and Dean Hamer hope to bring the film to every county in
Pennsylvania to help community organizations begin dialogue about the
experiences of LGBT people and the possibility of equality and justice.
The Center has been part of collaborations to bring the film to York,
Lititz and Harrisburg in celebration of National Coming Out Day 2009, to the GSA Leadership Summit in Carlisle in February, and most recently to Gettysburg College in March.
In April, we are partnering with ACLU-PA and Lebanon Valley College's Freedom Rings to bring a screening that will be
followed by a question and answer session.
Tickets are $5 but students with ID may enter for FREE. Monday, April 19th 6:00-8:00 pm Allen Theater 36 East Main Street, Annville
