ArrowSnow Storm to impact Transportation in US Northeast

Please be advised a snow storm, which has already impacted the Southeast United States (US), is expected to curtail travel and transportation in the Northeast and New England regions over the next 24 to 36 hours.

Flight cancellations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are still in effect after Sunday's snow storm.

Air carriers Jet Blue, US Airways, Delta Airlines, and Southwest Airlines are anticipating flight delays and cancellations at East Coast airports. Surface transportation to and from regional air and ocean gateways is expected to also be challenged overnight as snow accumulates on roads.

Current weather forecasts project between 4 and 8 inches of snow in Philadelphia, 6 to 12 inches for New York City, and up to 18 inches for  Boston.

BDP is monitoring the weather situation and will issue details of possible transportation curtailments and other potential impacts as information becomes available.
