We can't announce the launch of YOUR new cookbook without giving you a recipe! This one came a long way...from our friend (& sister to Denise) Valerie Rempel of Fresno, California...Perfect for holiday snacking or to take to the office party...
FROSTED CRANBERRY
SNACK MIX
8 oz can roasted almonds
1 bag pretzles
(waffle or mini twists) 6 oz pkg dried cranberries 1 egg white 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 250. Toss nuts, pretzel twists and dried cranberries in a large bowl. Beat the egg white until foamy and pour over the pretzel mixture. Toss the mixture with your hands to make sure everything is well coated. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt and sprinkle over the mixture making sure everything is coated. Spread on a baking sheet or place in a large roaster. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely before storing. This is a great light alternative to traditional snack mixes, but if you want it even more sugary, reduce the amount of pretzels.
