CONCERT ~ COMMUNITY GATHERING ~ BRAND-AID FUNDRAISING
THURSDAY, AUG. 16 at 6:30 pm
Brandon's Central Park
It was almost one year ago that Tropical Storm Irene pummeled Brandon and Forestdale, changing the look and feel of our community forever.
While most of our affected businesses have recovered, either in place or at a new location, there are still bills, loans, needs, and problems.
Hometown favorite band TEN ROD ROAD has generously donated their time and talent for a one-year later fundraiser concert to benefit BRAND-AID.
Brand-Aid was established by the Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce in the days following the storm as an immediate response to the need and to help the business community get back on its feet. To date, more than $27,000 has been donated and distributed.
We anticipate at least five businesses will be applying for additional funding from Brand-Aid this year. Every single one of these businesses is long-term committed to Brandon -- they are building owners, employers, and taxpayers. And they are still hurting.
The primary methods in which we are fundraising is through outright donations (click below to get a head-start of the concert) and a 50/50 raffle at the concert; raffle winner will be chosen during the concert.
