SEND US YOUR SUMMER / FALL EVENT LISTINGS
The Chamber will be producing a summer / fall events flier to be sent to all mailboxes in the area. We will include member and non-profit event listings free of charge. Please email them to info@brandon.org. Details should include business or organization name, event name, date, time, location, cost, web address for more info, and a one sentence description. Contact the Chamber if you have questions.

ADVERTISING / SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
The Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce is re-printing and updating of our two primary pieces of print materials and we are also preparing our 2012 summer events flier, which we mail town-wide in June. Advertising and Sponsorship opportunities are affordable and designed for all types of businesses focusing on different audiences.

"MAP & GUIDE FOR BRANDON VERMONT"
This is an excellent resource for tourists, locals, and people looking to relocate to our area. The piece is full of information pertaining to the outdoors, things to do in the area, and information about relocation. It was printed without advertisements about 8-9 years ago although there were sponsors. It remains very popular.
  • OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU: Sponsorship of this very popular piece will help keep it available for years to come. We will print 5000 pieces. We are in the process of updating the information to be current and accurate. Sponsorships get their name, address, web info and a "tag line."

LURE BROCHURE: "THE PURPLE PIECE"

This "lure" piece is designed to be less expensive than the Map & Guide, is updated more often, and contains advertising. It focuses on the Chamber's "4 Point Approach to Marketing" [Arts, Celebrations, Outdoors, History].

  • OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU: Advertising in this piece will make sure your business is represented to tourists, day-trippers, and people considering relocation. We will reprint 2000 pieces with updated information. Advertisers get approximately 35 words each including their name, address, and their own customized paragraph.

SUMMER / FALL EVENTS FLIER

There are many events happening in town this summer / fall and this is THE best way you will have to  target the local community. It is inexpensive and effective. Also, it helps the Chamber sponsor the events we do, many of which are offered for free. In June, fliers will be mailed to every 05733, 05745, and 05778 mailbox.

  • OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU: Individual boxed ads are sized approximately 1.5" x 1.5". Ad space fills quickly on this piece. Payment and ad copy must be submitted by deadline to guarantee inclusion. If we run out of space even before the deadline, we reserve the right to limit participation.

Smith adds interesting  rhythms , while her husband Dutton brings rich harmonies, along with his violin-playing, as both a lead instrument and for background textures. Renovations of the
Basement at the Town Hall

The McKernon Group is moving forward with gusto in the renovations of the basement of the Brandon Town Hall.

Demolition has taken place and construction is now underway.  We will be adding photographs weekly to our Facebook page (Brandon Town Hall), so please check that out to view the progress.  (Postings began last week, so there currently is two weeks worth of photographs to enjoy.)

We are still finalizing a few events for our Summer Season, but those that are confirmed are listed on our website under the "calendar" tab.
www.BrandonTownHall.org

Don't forget the Wood's Tea Company concert of Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Paramount. This is a fundraiser for the Brandon Town Hall. Tickets are available at Carr's Florist and Gifts and at the Paramount box office.

On another note, I have decided to step down from the Friends of the Brandon Town Hall when my term ends in May 2012.  It has been an amazing eight years on the Friends' board, and I am thrilled at the extent of building renovations that we have accomplished during this time and how the Hall is returning to its rightful spot as our Community Center!

I hope that you would consider serving on the Friends' board. To help take the Town Hall to its next phase of its revitalization will be a challenge, as well as rewarding beyond belief.  If you are interested in becoming involved either as a board member or a committee member please contact us.  Via e-mail at
info@brandontownhall.org, by telephone call Dennis Marden at 247-5420, or by mail at P.O. Box 181, Brandon, VT  05733.

It has been a pleasure to be a part of the Friends and because of this experience the Town Hall will forever be a part of me.  Thank you to everyone who has helped the Friends come so far with our dream.  The best is yet to come!

My best, Mei Mei Brown, President
