Happy Holidays from Butler County United Way!

Celebrating Progress

On Friday, December 18th, the Butler County United Way will be holding its annual campaign celebration.  We'll be showcasing this year's campaign progress-to-date and discussing the local economy.  Experts Steven P. Wilson, CEO of LCNB Corp., and Claude Davis, CEO of First Financial Bank, will be leading this discussion.

The event will be held from 7:30-9:00am at Receptions in Fairfield.  Breakfast will be served for a donation of $15.  LCNB National Bank is generously sponsoring the morning's activities.

For more information about the campaign celebration or to register, you can visit www.bc-unitedway.org or call our office at (513)863-0800.  Registration will be closing soon, so don't wait to let us know that you'll be coming.

We hope you can join us!

 Protecting Our Children

The Center for Family Solutions (CFS) - an initiative of Butler County United Way made possible by the Butler County commissioners, the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, Ohio Casualty, and others - is celebrating its first year of operation as a separate organization under its own board and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

The board of the CFS recently agreed to operate out of the vacant Kroger building at 400 N. Erie Blvd. in Hamilton alongside the Butler County Educational Service Center.  When renovations of the building are complete and the CFS opens its doors in August of next year, the Center will serve children and families dealing with serious, life-altering crises.  As a Children's Advocacy Center, the CFS will try to minimize the trauma experienced by children who have suffered abuse.  Multiple on-site service providers will make comprehensive treatment readily available while reducing the number of times children have to tell their story to different people in different places.

This is one of several ways Butler County United Way is working to help our children grow up to become successful adults.  Your contributions of time, money, and voice make this work possible.

Give a Gift That Lasts

This holiday season, consider helping a child grow up to be successful or helping a family get back on their feet.

By giving to United Way, you'll not only be supporting the agencies that provide food, education, and constructive activities for local kids, but you'll be creating the solutions to their unsolved problems.  The Center for Family Solutions is one such solution for children suffering from abuse.  Read how it will be Protecting Our Children in this eNewsletter.
