NYIT-Old Westbury's Student Government Association -- including treasurer Alexana Gaspari, SGA president Dominic Tetro, vice president Jacqueline Saleh, and secretary Marian Faris (pictured, left to right) -- was selected as "group of the week" the week of Jan. 17 by the National Center for Student Leadership. The organization provides leadership training opportunities for college student leaders and their advisors.

Alumni Discount for Harlem Globetrotters Honoring Kirk "Zeus" Stewart (B.S. '08)
The Harlem Globetrotters will have six games in the New York City area from Feb. 18 to Feb. 21 during their "4 Times the Fun" World Tour. NYIT alumnus Kirk "Zeus" Stewart (B.S. '08) is scheduled to play in all six games, and in honor of his NYIT jersey number, NYIT alumni are eligible for a $5 discount per ticket by entering the discount code: NYIT.

NYIT - Bahrain Basketball Wins Championship
NYIT-Bahrain's basketball team claimed the first Ajiaal Basketball League title in December by defeating rivals from Bahrain Training Institute 64-51. Students from universities across Bahrain participated in the tournament, which began last October under the auspices of Bahrain's Minister of Labour and the United Nations Information Centre for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
