Eric Cole Cyber Security

Phishing scams ... infected hosts ... spyware ... fingerprint ID .. cloud computing. NYIT attracted more than 250 guests when it hosted its first Cyber Security Conference on Sept. 15 at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway. Experts discussed impending threats surrounding cyber vulnerability, as well as the latest developments to protect individuals and organizations against cyber attacks. Nada Anid, Ph.D., dean of the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences, said the conference was "shining proof that NYIT is a vibrant community that is at the forefront of knowledge and technology." Read President Guiliano's welcoming remarks. For a look at NYIT alumni and faculty who stand in the front line of the digital battle against cyber criminals, read the award-winning article, "Sentries of the 21st Century," published in the Fall 2009 issue of NYIT Magazine.
