NORTH CAROLINA RECEPTION: Wine Tasting
Friday, March 12
Be part of our first-ever alumni event in North Carolina! Join fellow NYIT alumni for a wine tasting on Friday, March 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hope Valley Bottle Shop, 4711 Hope Valley Road, Durham, N.C. The evening will include sommelier services of four to six fine wines. VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR RECEPTION

The Office of Alumni Relations will host the School of Management Centers of Excellence Volunteer of the Year reception on March 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at de Seversky Center on the Old Westbury campus. This year's honoree is Brian Silva (M.S. Join us on April 15 at 6:30 p.m. for a delicious four-course dinner paired with wines from regions ranging from the hills of Italy to the islands of Greece. Start with a crisp white wine from Sardinia and end with a dessert offering from the island of Samos. Come

NYIT TO HOST GREEN FORUM IN NANJING
Topics: Energy, Education, Environmental Initiatives
NYIT and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NUPT) will host a two-day forum in Nanjing, China on April 7-9 that will bring together experts from the world's leading companies as well as government officials and leaders in higher education to explore sustainability challenges and solutions, technological and policy breakthroughs, and educational programs positioned to drive changes in energy practices to benefit the world at large. Learn more.

NYIT's Department of Fine Arts is sponsoring an exhibit of the artwork of three alumni artists: Joseph Romanello (B.F.A. '76), Peter Tassone (B.F.A. '80), and Donna Minerva-Voci (M.A. '87)Their work will be displayed at Gallery 61, on the 11th floor on NYIT's Manhattan campus at 16 W.61st St. Viewing hours are Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The new issue of NYIT Magazine features profiles of graduates who are designing a better world, contributing to health care solutions, and playing a role in the next wave of interactive entertainment. The magazine also pays tribute to NYIT's founder and first president, the late Alexander Schure, and describes how NYIT is addressing technology and sustainability issues in the international arena.

Congratulations to Allison Baver (M.B.A. '07), who won an Olympic bronze medal on Feb. 24 in Vancouver along with her teammates in the 3,000-meter women's relay speed skating event.
