NYIT Auditorium on Broadway Debuts
On Oct. 15, the doors to the new NYIT Auditorium on Broadway (Manhattan campus) were opened. Faculty, staff, and students toured the space, which will be used for lectures, conferences, movie screenings, and film festivals.Auditorium Ribbon Cutting Later in the day, President Guiliano and Board of Trustees Chairperson Linda Davila (B.S. '78) were joined by alumni, government, business, and community leaders, and other friends of NYIT for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. At 7 p.m., the School of Management's Professional Enrichment Program hosted the auditorium's inaugural event -- a special presentation and book signing by NYIT's First Lady and international best-selling author Mireille Guiliano, who debuted her new book, Women, Work & the Art of Savoir Faire: Business Sense & Sensibility. Pictured at the ribbon-cutting ceremony (from left) are: Monica Blum, president, Lincoln Square Business Improvement District; President Guiliano; Chairperson Davila; and Michael Kaplan, deputy chief of staff for New York State Assemblyman Richard Gottfried.
Theobald Science CenterTheobald Science Center Opens 
NYIT community members gathered on Oct. 20 for the opening of The Theobald Science Center (Old Westbury campus), which features new classrooms, six state-of-the-art chemistry and biology labs, two prep rooms, and an administrative area for faculty and staff offices. The entire facility utilizes sustainable design elements. The center will be critical to the upcoming rollout of NYIT's new core curriculum, which requires every incoming freshman to take two science courses as part of their undergraduate studies. President Guiliano called the center a "remarkable project" that will bring NYIT great recognition.  
FONSAD ReceptionOver 110 alumni and friends participated in the Friends of NYIT's School of Architecture and Design Networking Reception on Oct. 1 at Tiro a Segno. The event raised over $17,000 in support of specific projects, lectures, scholarships, and programs that benefit NYIT's architecture and interior design program. Dean ENGTMeet-the-Dean Reception 
Attention engineering and computing sciences graduates, the Office of Alumni Relations cordially invites you to attend a Meet-the-Dean Reception introducing Nada Marie Anid, Ph.D., NYIT's new dean of the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences (pictured), on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., at NYIT's de Seversky Center, Old Westbury campus. Wine Glasses SmallAlumni Holiday Wine Dinner
Join us for our Alumni Holiday Wine Dinner, hosted by the Office of Alumni Relations and Lori Devlin (B.F.A. '78) of Winebow Importing, on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. at de Seversky Center, the event includes a four-course dinner, with each course expertly paired with a special wine selection. Tickets are $60 per person, with a maximum of two tickets per alumni. Reserve early as space is limited. Tickets must be paid at the time of reservation. Multi School Alumni Job Fair and numerous other area colleges and universities have come together to host a multi school, alumni job fair at St. John's Univeristy, Queens campus, on Tuesday, Dec. 8, from noon to 5 p.m. Pre-registration is mandatory at Don't delay - registration is expected to reach capacity quickly.
