| NYIT EXPANDS MANHATTAN CAMPUS |
|
NYIT has begun renovating newly acquired prime space at 1871 Broadway, formerly occupied by the Clearview Cinema. The new NYIT Auditorium on Broadway extends the Manhattan campus footprint north, to between 61st and 62nd Streets. The 250-seat auditorium will be used for lectures, conferences, movie screenings, and film festivals, as well as other events for the NYIT and external communities. Design of the space has commenced, as announced with new signage, and construction will begin soon. The first phase is tentatively slated for completion in the fall of 2009. |

President Edward Guiliano, Board of Trustees Chairperson Linda Davila (B.S. '78), Vice President for Global Academic Programs Wm. Cyrus Reed, and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Roger Yu were joined by business leaders, ministry officials, families, friends, and faculty and staff members to honor NYIT's newest graduates at our campuses in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Jordan on June 18, 20, and 22, respectively. |

NYIT's Center for Metropolitan Sustainability hosted the Fourth Annual Energy Conference, "Innovative Technologies and Green Careers," on June 5 at de Seversky Center, Old Westbury campus. The conference brought together more than 160 attendees for a discussion of energy-efficient programs and careers in the emerging green economy. In light of today's challenging economy, NYIT's Office of Career Services will host a seminar on Thursday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its New York campuses to provide recent graduates with information and tools that provide a competitive edge in the job market.

| ALUMNI TREE PLANTING IN CHINA |

On June 27, 42 members of the newly established NYIT Guang Dong China Alumni Federation participated in a tree-planting ceremony in a public park near Shenzhen. The event included the planting of 30 trees and the placement of a monument honoring NYIT and all the alumni who participated that day. | |
