CAMPUS NEWS 
NYIT Extends Its Green Offerings 
NYIT is offering a new national certificate training program designed for working professionals who wish to apply sustainable concepts to the buildings they design, develop, and construct. The Sustainable Building Advisor program, which began on Jan. 16, is approved by both the U.S. Green Building Council, as an education provider, and the American Institute of Architects for education credits. The lead instructor is Peter Caradonna (B.Arch. '87), principal of Peter Caradonna Associates (N.Y.). Romano Sch.Architecture Alumnus Establishes Scholarship Fund
Peter J. Romano (B.Arch.'76) and his wife, Jane, have established the Peter and Jane Romano Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fund will support scholarships and stipends for activities in the School of Architecture and Design. Romano is president of Peter J. Romano & Company (Pelham, N.Y.) Pictured (from left) are: Judith DiMaio, dean, School of Architecture and Design; Romano; and NYIT students Nisha Prasad, Matthew Wasnewsky, and Lukas Argyros.

VALENTINE'S ALUMNI COMEDY NIGHT

The NYIT Alumni Federation presents a new kind of networking event: a Valentine's Day Comedy Night. The fun begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Stout NYC, located at 133 W. 33rd St. Admission is $20 per person and includes an open bar and hors d'oeuvres.

NYIT LAUNCHES CHINA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION 
 
The Office of Alumni Relations, working with NYIT's School of Management, will hold alumni inaugural receptions to establish alumni chapters in Nanchang, Shenzhen, and Shanghai in April for alumni living and working in China.
