Who wants to make this Coat? I do
Join us for our Knit-along beginning
January 12 in the Squirrel Hill
store. And, the best
news is that you can purchase the kit in the color of your
choice which
includes both the yarn and the pattern. You can come into the Squirrel Hill
shop to select
your favorite color the week of December 15.
If you have a problem coming into the store we can
make other arrangements.
The Knit-along will consist of 3 meetings. The first 2 classes will be
spaced about 3 weeks
apart and will consist of all the techiniques you need to know to knit this coat.
The final class will
be the finishing
class (the thing most of us hate to do, but we
want you to
finish!)
Dates: Monday, January 12 6-8 pm ( other dates
to be determined
Cost: $99 for pattern and yarn (10% discount
if enrolled in the classes)
Class Fee: $75 for the 3 class series
Of course, you may just purchase the kit without
the class.

An Evening at Knit One
One knitter described being locked in at Knit One
after hours as reminiscent of being at elementary
school at night when it was supposed to be closed!

Our spa nights have been so popular that we decided
to squeeze one in before the holidays.
Stacey and Linda just HAD to make a pair of these fun mittens
and would love to spend an
evening with you. We hope that you can join us for an
evening of music, fun, knitting and,
of course, some food.
You will learn to make a mitten and these unique babies
knit up in a hurry.

Market Bag Knit-A-Long
Join us on Fridays at 1 PM for the first ever Knit-A-Long at Knit One North. We will be making the
Market Bag from the book Bags - A Knitter's Dozen. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills
like knitting backwards. Not only do you get to play with color, you try
your hand at entrelac and felting !

Charity Knitting & Crocheting
Charity Knitting
We have charity knitting and crocheting every Sunday from 1:00-4:00pm. We supply the yarn,
you supply the needles and the willingness. We are currently knitting and
crocheting chemo caps.Unfortunately, there is a large need for these and Knit One
is trying to show cancer sufferers t
hat we care.Our caps are donated to those who need them and we need all we can get.
We are
collecting caps for the Race For The Cure next year but we will also be making donations
to cancer centers throughout the area all year long. Please help us in our efforts.If you
can't join us on Sundays feel free to knit or crochet one at home and bring in your caps.
And if you need yarn just let us know and we will be happy to supply some for you.
Tuesdays Are For Knitting
We currently have a very active group that meets on Tuesdays from 1-5pm. All they ask is you
bring your knitting or crocheting and your sense of humor. These ladies love to laugh!
