Happy January! Like many of you, we enjoyed our holidays but now are geared up and running full steam. Our first 2011 Eggs & Issues was very successful thanks to Ms. Blackburn. All who came participated in a discussion of what our schools contribute to our communities and it provided us with an opportunity to ask what we can do. This format is conducive to civil conversations yet we don't want it to be talk only. Ms. Blacksburg mentioned that business leaders are welcome to come to the schools and speak to various classes. If you would like to speak to any school, please call me and we will arrange it with Ms. Blackburn's office. This is one of the ways we can build a stronger connection between schools and business.
The 2011 schedule of Business After Hours, Eggs & Issues, Golf Tournaments, Leadership NRV, Business Expo and Awards dinner will be on our facebook page as well as our website. We have a few openings left so if you are interested in being a sponsor or hosting an event, please call Diana or Lanny.
This year we will be asking you questions. What's important to you and your business? A business association by its very mission means that we are all in this together. What can we do together to improve your success and therefore our community as a whole? Ideas, comments, suggestions --- all welcome!
