OUR ORPHAN
OF THE MONTH

Snuggles
As our Orphan of the Month for April, you can adopt this wonderful pet at 20% off of the regular $165 adoption donation for canines.
Hi! My name is Snuggles. I am a 3 year old yellow lab mix who was rescued from the streets with several deep wounds, possibly from a dog fight. I have a sweet temperament and love other dogs, am friendly with cats, adore children, and just want a family to love. I already know several commands, including sit, stay, up-up, and lie down. My caregivers think I might be potty trained, too! Come see me and find out just how wonderfully sweet I am!
Visit this orphan in person and complete your adoption application between now and April 30, 2012 to be able to take advantage of this great offer!
Visit us on-line or call 214-349-ELPO(3576) for more information on Snuggles or other wonderful animals available for adoption!

In Memoriam
April 2012
David Shafer

David Shafer was a longstanding volunteer for the East Lake Pet Orphanage and ELPO Council Member. David was a fixture at every ELPO event as a DJ, used his creative skills to construct several event displays for the orphanage, drove the Pet Pac to all offsite outdoor events, and so much more. You could always depend on him to help with anything that needed to be done. He was always there.
We lost him on Sunday, March 25, 2012 to cancer, and he will be truly missed. He was a selfless, kind hearted and gentle soul who touched everyone that was fortunate enough to have known him.
