Quote of the Month
"Love of animals is a
universal impulse, a
common ground on which
all of us may meet. By loving and understanding animals, perhaps we humans shall come to understand each other."

Shannon
November's Orphan of the Month!
Happy girl Shannon, a 1 1/2 year old Basenji Mix, was abandoned and doesn't understand why! She's friendly, intelligent, and promises to do her best to be a good girl if you'll give her a chance! She's even attended some basic training classes where her teacher was very happy with how well she did. Come visit
Shannon today and make a friend for life!
Visit us on-line or call us at 214-349-ELPO

Volunteer of the Month
October 2010
Our Volunteer of the Month for October is Ashley Ratley. If you look at any area of the orphanage, you will find Ashley making the lives of all of our orphans better. She is a regular at all offsite events, comes regularly to play with the dogs, and purchased an abundance of new kitty toys to help keep our orphaned cats and kittens entertained!
There's no denying it--volunteers make an amazing impact on the lives of the animals in our care. They provide comfort to the timid and injured, playtime for the energetic, and most importantly--unconditional love that some of these wonderful animals have never experienced before! For information on how you, too, can become a volunteer, visit us on-line or call us at 214-349-ELPO (3576). |
October Arrivals and Adoptions
For the month of October, we had 19 adoptions and 12 admissions. We still need your help to get more deserving animals into permanent, loving homes!
Visit our website, updated weekly, where we have
Together, we can help make a difference in their lives! photos and descriptions of the deserving creatures currently available for adoption--know that this is just the tip of the iceberg, as we have MANY more animals behind the scenes still completing the treatments needed to be ready to be adopted. While you yourself might not be in a position to adopt right now, maybe a friend or family member is looking to add to their household. Make a donation to help support the basic medical needs that each of these orphans have. Or become a volunteer and spend some quality time with the animals as they wait for that special someone to come through the door. |
Happy Tails
"Here ya go guys! The 2010 Middleton Furkids Halloween Photo shoot. This year, we did a Pirate's theme, only the two little divas (Fiona & Ginger) did not wish to participate. Hope everyone enjoys a good laugh - or at least a smile on your face.
I love being a devoted petmom!!!!!!!!!
