Water_class3. Water/Goddess

Instructor: Sid Reger, Ed.D., Ordained Priestess of RCG-I

We know that there's no life without water. But, do we understand how the waters of the world have played an essential role in the development of culture and mythology? In this class we will explore water goddesses from around the world-goddesses of oceans, sea travel, rivers, lakes, springs. We will also consider the importance of the waters of life and environmental issues relating to human use-and abuse-of water resources. Based on what we learn we will identify actions we can take to protect the waters of the world, and write a goddess invocation to support those actions.

If you have put off thinking about your healthcare options and end of life arrangements because you don't know where to start or simply get scared, this course provides steps to get your options planned without a lot of stress. Each week focuses on the steps we are advised to take before crisis or age removes personal choices for our own care: Create a simple sick day plan; consider & set-up legal and medical forms for care & comfort in an unplanned illness, accident or advancing memory loss; review & discuss funeral options; then experience the freedom of soul living. Join us for six easy weeks and handle six very difficult topics. Its your life. And its your future.

WTI Credit will be given for the Guardian Mediator and Healer paths, for the Cella Healer & Organizer paths, and for the Crone Cycle III requirements. Specific electives include Body/Health, Ritual, Safekeeping, and Personal Growth.

For full WTI participant credit, you must complete all 6 weekly assignments and contribute to the discussions.

wheel_class6. An Introduction to the Wheel of the Year as a Spiritual Psychology for Women

For many years, Kim Duckett has offered her workshop "The Wheel of the Year: An Earth-Based Spiritual Psychology for Women" at conferences throughout the country and often to standing-room only crowds.

This introductory workshop is the opening session of Kim's "A Year and A Day Sacred Mystery School for Women" (founded in 1997), a formal year-long curriculum through which participants learn about, explore, and celebrate the Wheel of the Year and the "seasons" of their own lives by attending monthly day-long learning intensives and corresponding community rituals.

In 2005 the Mystery School experience (known as WOTY) was made available to the larger Goddess/ Women's Spirituality Community through RCG-I. In this format, participants from around the country meet four times a year, in weekend Intensives, to explore the Wheel of the Year and women's psychology from a European earthbased perspective.

This online introductory class will offer an overview of how the Wheel has been perceived and followed mainly as a spiritual/ritual tool by general pagans/wiccan folk, those involved in women's spirituality, and Goddess women, before introducing participants to the basics of experiencing the Wheel as a powerful and helpful psychology for women. There will be a brief overview of the psychology of the eight holydays before we focus on several of the holydays in more detail.

Additional fee of $5 is added for materials to be mailed out to participants.

Affirmation of Women's Spirituality

Triple Goddess Banners

The Congregation's philosophy of positive spiritual exploration is expressed by the Affirmation of Women's Spirituality. Considering the Affirmation challenges you to define your spiritual beliefs. The Affirmation is not a test of faith. It is a statement of belief which many of the women in the Congregation find reflects their spiritual experience. We do not ask that you totally agree with the Affirmation. We do ask you think about your beliefs and define them for yourself. The Congregation encourages the independent investigation of truth. If you find, after considering the Affirmation, you are primarily in agreement with it or are willing to explore your areas of uncertainty, we welcome you into the Congregation.
