Virtual Cauldron for Hopes and Wishes

For over 20 years, the women of the Congregation in and around Madison, Wisconsin have had a tradition.  At many of our Gatherings, we place a cauldron in the center of our circle.  Women participating in the ritual write their hopes and wishes on slips of paper and, one by one, they walk (or have a friend walk) to the center of the circle and place their notes in the cauldron.

Someone then says, "The hopes and wishes of the women in this room fill this cauldron.  If you choose, please direct your energy toward it.  Find those requests you can support, and drift over those you can't.  Please lend your magic now that the hopes and wishes of the women in this room may become reality."  Then, all who choose to send their support that the desires placed in the cauldron will become manifest.

We would like to invite you to join us in the celebration.  Now at Summer Solstice, an annual high point of abundance, please join us as a participant in a new RCG-I sponsored list.  "Rcgihopeandwishes" is a new list serve on which the women of the Congregation may post their hopes and wishes in a "virtual cauldron."

The first step in being part of this group is subscribe to the group by sending an email here or, if you have trouble, by sending a note expressing your interest to RCGI and one of the moderators will subscribe you to the list.  Then, you may post your hopes and wishes.  You may be vague or disclose as much about a situation as you choose.

Some examples of hopes and wishes might be:

·      Healing requests for you or people close to you who have given you permission to post for them.

·      Requests for abundance.

·      Requests for reliable transportation.

·      Requests for right livelihood.

The hopes and wishes may be as varied as the women who use the list.  When you post a request, the other women on the list will be asked to follow the quote above and send energy to help manifest your desires.   It's a simple, but powerful, way for us to share our magic and support each other.

Affirmation of Women's Spirituality

Triple Goddess Banners

The Congregation's philosophy of positive spiritual exploration is expressed by the Affirmation of Women's Spirituality. Considering the Affirmation challenges you to define your spiritual beliefs. The Affirmation is not a test of faith. It is a statement of belief which many of the women in the Congregation find reflects their spiritual experience. We do not ask that you totally agree with the Affirmation. We do ask you think about your beliefs and define them for yourself. The Congregation encourages the independent investigation of truth. If you find, after considering the Affirmation, you are primarily in agreement with it or are willing to explore your areas of uncertainty, we welcome you into the Congregation.

Have you made the Affirmation?  Go here
