THE WESTLAKE EAGLE EYE E-NEWSLETTER
Volume 17  Issue 19                                            January 20, 2012
PRINCIPAL'S NOTE

Spirit Week was awesome - we only went to school for three days, but we made the most of every minute. Thanks for participating and please use the three-day weekend to get the uniforms back out and be ready to hunker down for some serious learning from here on in.

Thanks to all those who have completed the mid-year survey. To those that have not yet had an opportunity to access the survey, another email reminder will be coming out this weekend. We will be closing access on Tuesday and we really want you to please contribute your thoughts about our program this year. This is an excellent opportunity to give your input into your present and future of the Westlake experience.

Remember, Mrs. Roggenbaum and I will be hosting a parent forum next Tuesday morning at 8:45 in the Activity Room (lunchroom). We will be discussing some the progress of some capital projects; talking about the tuition and fee setting process; sharing some of our thoughts for next year; and discussing our current uniform program. That said, we plan to spend most of our time together listening to your thoughts and desires for WCS. Sometimes the distance between the Administrative Office and the realities of the family experience at Westlake can be vast - we'd love for you to come and share your perspective with us.

Be blessed this weekend,

Rick Pucci

Principal

EAGLE ATHLETICS

Thank you to all who helped in making the Elementary Pep Rally a huge success yesterday!! There certainly was an amazing amount of energy in the gym! We recognized all 4th and 5th grade Athletes who participated in Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer and Basketball. The Junior Varsity Cheerleaders were introduced by their Coach, Mrs. Cyndi Rodts, and did an awesome job performing and leading the crowd in cheers. The Junior Cheerleaders, under the direction of Mrs. Nancy Garrison, did an outstanding job showing the crowd everything that they learned over the past 2 weeks at practices. It was a joy to see the support of the families who were able to attend the event.
