Friday, September 21 | 8:30 - 10:00 am
Parking spaces in front of 2201 Shattuck Ave., near Allston Way
FREE
Please join Nina Haft & Company and friends for a day of dancing and playing games in their 'park' created from parking spaces for the international public art event called Park[ing] Day. Park[ing] Day is an event that encourages people to take back public space in our cities. For one day all over the planet, artists and other creative spirits 'rent' parking spaces and turn them into parks - places for everyone to enjoy. The 'park' in Downtown Berkeley will be designed with recycled and reused items, and have a lifesize game of Jenga, and performances by BHS students and professional dancers.
