Turkey graphic Thanksgiving Volunteer Opportunities

Annual Thanksgiving meals are part of Berkeley's tradition. Please consider these volunteer opportunities to make the season brighter for our community.

 

Tuesday, November 22, 6:30-8:30am

Berkeley Police Department's Thanksgiving Turkey Basket Distribution

Come to fill food baskets that will be delivered to needy Berkeley residents. Meet at the Berkeley Police Department at 2100 MLK Jr. Way at Center St.

 

Tuesday 11/22, any time 10am-3:30pm

Berkeley Food & Housing Project's Preparation for Thanksgiving Meal Service, 2362 Bancroft Way

Help prepare BFHP's Multi-Service Center for it's annual Thanksgiving Day meal. Work with staff and other volunteers to clean, organize, and decorate the facility in order to ensure it is as welcoming and festive as possible for the biggest meal of the year! Thanksgiving Food Box Donations

Berkeley Food & Housing Project, Development Department, 2362 Bancroft Way, 2nd Floor

Please help feed local homeless and hungry individuals and families this holiday season by donating the items on BFHP's food box list or by donating $40 to purchase a food box for a needy family. Drop off food donations on November 22-23 to Berkeley Food & Housing Project's Development Department, or contact Whitney Hubbard at 510.809.8585 or whubbard@bfhp.org to make a monetary donation. Volunteers will assemble food boxes to distribute so no one goes hungry this Thanksgiving.
