Please come to enjoy food and drinks to celebrate the opening of Namaste Madras Cuisine located in the former CitiBank building. The restaurant will feature South Indian cuisine - Idli, Dosas, Biriyani's, and Tandoori entrees.

 

The historic "Fidelity" building was built in 1926, designed by architect Walter Radcliffe, to be the first office for the important California savings and loan association. It's a city landmark, with a handcrafted sandstone façade carved by Scottish masons.

 

Gaze up at the high vaulted ceilings to read the original sayings painted into the cross beams. Quotes by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and others, focus on thrift and savings.

This last week, Fresco Burrito opened its doors on the North East corner of University and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Fresco Burrito serves affordable Mexican food freshly cooked to order, and is offering only take-out at the moment. Please stop by and help welcome the newest addition to the culinary community in the Downtown. Their hours are 11am to 9:30pm, but are subject to change.

 

Tenzing Collections, a new retail store is opening at 2213 Shattuck Avenue. They will be selling clothing, home furnishings, gift items, and more. Come peek through the windows and admire the beautiful merchandise as they set up their initial displays!
