9th Annual Berkeley Old Time Music Convention
September 14-18 Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse
A celebration of Appalachian traditions including Buckdancing from Tennessee, high-energy string band music from North Carolina, and old-time mountain singing from West Virginia. Other festival events include concerts, workshops and a film; square dances, family concerts; and a panel discussion at UC Berkeley. |
 Opening Reception & Artist Talk for the World Premiere of "One Cubic Foot: Miniature Surveys in Biodiversity" Thursday, September 15, 6pm-9pm. Hazel Wolf Gallery in The David Brower Center
World premier of new photography exhibit by David Liittschwager exploring the biodiversity of our local habitat - under the Golden Gate Bridge. Featuring short films about each habitat David has surveyed, as well as a lecture and talkback with the artist. Exhibit showing September 15, 2011 - January 27, 2012. |
