August 4th - Jua Howard
A vocal powerhouse with stunning range, Jua Howard's sound is reminiscent of jazz and soul singers such as Nat King Cole and Donny Hathaway, but his rich voice resonates with a combination of depth and fresh emotion that is uniquely Jua. Featuring Lu Salcedo, guitar; Christian Sullivan, keyboards; Bil Hager, bass; and Aaron Hipschman, drums.

August 11 - Jacob Zimmerman Quartet
Originally from Seattle, alto saxophonist and composer Jacob Zimmerman is an active member of the thriving Bay Area creative-music community. He studied music at the New England Conservatory and Mills College; his teachers have included Roscoe Mitchell, Jerry Bergonzi, and Allan Chase. Featuring Theo Padouvas, trumpet; Kim Cass, bass; Jon Arkin, drums.

August 18 - Erika Oba Jazz pianist, flutist, arranger, and composer Erika Oba presents an all-original set exploring the possibilities for jazz chamber music, paying tribute to composers such as Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, and Ornette Coleman. Featuring Rafa Postel, trumpet; Peter Hargreaves, tenor sax; Erika Oba, piano/flute; and Scott Brown, bass, Max Griffith, drums.

Vocalist Tamar Sella presents a compelling and intimate set of original compositions, arrangements, lyrics, and improvisation, drawing from jazz, pop, world, and classical repertoires.
