Opinion Survey on Retail Zoning Amendments
Deadline is April 15th.

Dear DBA Members,

Your opinions are requested on a short survey of proposed retail zoning amendments by the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Berkeley Association.

The Berkeley Planning Commission, in response to the request from the City Council, is undertaking a review of zoning requirements regarding retail establishments and has recommendations for amendments that could help to streamline the permitting process. The Commission is considering five areas of change at this time. They have worked to identify the changes that could have the biggest impact with the least amount of staff time to implement.

Opinions are being requested from members of the eighteen commercial and merchant organizations in the City. The Chamber of Commerce worked with representatives of these organizations to craft the survey.

The results will be reported to the Planning Commission. After calculating the results of the survey, the Chamber of Commerce will facilitate a Question and Answer session with City of Berkeley staff in the days following. You will be notified of the time, date and place.

Please click here to take the opinion survey and complete it by April 15th.

Sincerely,

John Caner
