Wow - did it get hot or what? I have to apologize to those of you who came in for a massage and the place was a little stuffy. We got that issue all worked out and it's nice and comfortable in here now - Yay!
I am always looking at how I can improve my services. Lately I have been researching a receptionist service or online booking to help you reach me easier. What would you prefer, talking to a real person or setting up your appointment on-line? Let me know your thoughts - slhammond@earthlink.net.

Keeping Cool
Spending some time at the Farmer's Market every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning has made me try to find ways to keep myself cool in this heat. I found this "cool" article that has a lot of tips. (Click here) You may find it of interest as well!
Remember that your pet can suffer from heat stroke as well. Make sure they have plenty of shade and water if they are kept outside. Even better - keep them inside!!! Shaving longer haired breeds is a common thing to do. Personally, I'm not so sure it's a good idea, but I don't have any backup for that. If you do shave, make sure you apply sunscreen, because they can burn. Use sunscreen made for pets, since some made for humans may be toxic to your pet. It's even recommended if you and Fido are going to be out in the sun a long time, to put some on his nose! 
Don't forget your sunscreen as well! But do get some time in the sun, since the latest medical news is that we are all vitamin D deficient. Go figure! | |

Weddings and other Events
I'm not sure if everyone knows that I offer my massage service for your special event. If you have a small party, like a bridal party, I can come set up at a location of your choice and provide chair or table massages. I gave 30 minute massages to 6 friends who got together years after graduating college, and they had a ball. They did each other's nails, and I brought some foot soaking materials for them to use while they were waiting for their turn. They had fun got back in touch with each other.
