Reflections on Leadership Learning
A full house of students, family, friends, faculty and staff gathered to applaud the accomplishments of fourteen IWL Leadership Scholars at the graduation celebration at the Ruth Dill Johnson Crockett Building on May 10.
IWL Director Alison Bernstein joined in recognizing the students' achievements. "The title of this event, 'Reflections on Leadership Learning,' resonates for me. As an American Historian by training, I am fond of quoting John Fitzgerald Kennedy's remark, 'Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.' That concept is what this Scholars program embodies. All great leaders never stop learning, and while today, we mark a milestone in the education of these students, my hope for them is that they never stop learning as they take on leadership roles in the rest of their life journeys."
Members of the 2012 graduating class of IWL Leadership Scholars shared perspectives on their two years in the program.
