Fishing For Fun

A Fishing for Fun children's backpack, created by the Friends of the Upper Mississippi Fishery Services and funded by the Optimist Club,
is now available to be checked out from the Children's Museum.

The Fishing for Fun backpack, available for loan to teachers, child care providers and other youth group leaders, is a hands-on supplement to the Mighty Mississippi River exhibit here at the Children's Museum. 

Each backpack includes a fishing pole, minnow and bug net, fish ID cards, maps of fishing holes, Wisconsin fishing regulations, a how-to-fish book, thermometer, compass, magnifying glass, bug viewer and jar, scavenger hunt, mussel shells and more to connect kids with nature fun in the Coulee Region.

Borrower is responsible for returning the backpack and all supplies in clean and undamaged condition. For more information or to check out the backpack,

The cute, colorful, and very hungry Coinosaurus can now be seen at the Children's Museum.  Feed him money and he will give it to the Museum staff and board for a new dinosaur exhibit!
