SIGNIFICANCE OF COLOR: GEMSTONES |
|
What's Your Color?
The possibilities for self-expression with colored stones are endless, with choices in every price range to suit every taste. Whether for fun-fashion or to express your inner feelings, everyone should enjoy the bounty of colorful stones that nature has provided.
· Yellow - when worn by a woman, yellow signals generosity; worn by a man, a yellow stone is a sign of secrecy (as with a secret lover).
· Violet - worn by a woman, violet indicates lofty thoughts and a spiritual nature; for a man, it means sober judgment, steadfastness, and ambition.
· Black - on single women, reveals foolishness and capriciousness, but on married women it shows fidelity, constant love and perseverance. A man wearing a black stone exhibits gravity, common sense, constancy, and inner strength.
· Red - when worn by a woman indicates pride, haughtiness, and obstinacy; on a man, red stones mean nobility, command, leadership and vengeance.
· Blue - on a woman, exposes jealousy in love, vigilance and social correctness; a man wearing blue stones means wisdom, lofty thoughts and generosity.
· Green - for a woman means unfounded ambition, childish delight, and change; for a man, a green stone means joy, lost friendship, and transitory hope. |

Ornamentation, Sacred Meaning, or Symbol of Power?
Many of my customers are fascinated with gemstone lore, and some seriously study the use of stones for metaphysical healing purposes.
What ever your interest, here are a few tidbits,
JANUARY - Garnet / Rose Quartz
Garnets have been used since ancient times as talismans; some cultures believed the stones' luminosity provided protection from evil and danger.
Did you know there are numerous types of garnets in a wide array of colors? The most well known is Almandine, the rich red-colored stone. Other types include Demantoid (green), Hessonite (yellowish to brown), Pyrope (red-purple), Rhodolite (pink-lavender), Spessartite (orange-red), and Tsavorite (green), which is one of the rarest and most valuable. Mainly mined in Africa, they can also be found in India, Russia and South America.
Rose Quartz, January's alternate birthstone, is the most important stone for teaching the true essence of love. If you want to attract love, look no further than romantic rose quartz!
February - Amethyst / Onyx
One of the most spiritual stones, amethyst promotes love of the divine, enhances memory and improves motivation, making you more able to set realistic goals.
Traditionally, it has been worn to prevent drunkenness and has a sobering effect on physical passions and overindulgence.
Onyx, February's alternate birthstone, is useful for self-control, decision making, intuition and recognition of personal strengths. |

I am a forever loyal patron of Bejeweled by Gina.
~ Janice.L. Los Angeles (CA)
Having worked in the jewelry industry for several years, first making jewelry at the workbench in New York to managing the diamond and fine jewelry collection at Tiffany & Co. in Beverly Hills, I have had pleasure to see many rare and beautiful pieces in my work, and I am very excited to see how Gina is incorporating materials, colors, and design into her new collection "Bejeweled by Gina." Few collections I have seen feature such a variety of beautiful and unusual gemstones, such as, plum jade, frosted chalcedony, ice water blue Czech crystals, pineapple quartz, and rutilated black-line jasper to name a few. Each piece is hand-crafted and designed to feature the gemstone's unique color, shape, and energy, thus creating not just a stunning accessory to wear but a masterpiece to cherish. ~ Brian K., Sherman Oaks (CA)
Each time I wear my necklaces from 'Bejeweled by Gina' I get compliments. What I love most of all is that each piece is custom made; and I won't ever see someone else wearing MY jewelry! Everyone wants to know, "Where did you get it?" I can't wait to get my next piece. ~ Rhonda S., Acton (MA) |

ONE FINAL NOTE!
Jewelry is an expression of self. Imagine you as the canvas and your jewelry the accessories that completes your picture. Your jewelry should always make a statement about who you are. My pieces are unique, classically beautiful, wearable works of art. At Bejeweled by Ginaź we help you create your own style that will reflect your uniqueness.
There is something special about hand-made jewelry, just like a wonderful piece of art you find in a contemporary art gallery. All of my designs are hand-made originals; I do not make duplicates, unless you request a duplicate piece for a special occasion.
My creations make wonderful presents too - for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, holiday's, birthday's, weddings, bridal parties, other special occasions, or simply to impress that "certain" someone in your life.
Be stylish, be bold, be unique, be 'bejeweled'... by Gina!
Fashionably yours, Gina (aka Regina Davis)
