Happy New Year!
According to Wikipedia, a New Year's Resolution is a commitment that a person makes to a project or habit. In reality, many resolutions go unachieved and are often broken fairly shortly after they are set.
Most of our resolutions involve fitness or appearance. We want to look better, feel better...be better. The most common resolution is weight loss, followed closely by eating sensibly and increasing exercise.
This month we celebrate your resolutions and Healthy Weight Week with events throughout January. Check out our Pilates Boot Camp and Nutrition Boot Camp if you are ready to commit to a new year, new you in 2008.

Upcoming Events, Workshops & Classes
Nutrition Boot Camp I
The best thing that you can do for yourself and your loved ones is to take this class. Emily Gedney, RD has created a program that teaches you the science behind your diet including why the food you eat may be doing you more harm than good and how to eat for the rest of your life.
You'll get nine group nutrition classes, four individual counseling sessions with an RD, a fitness orientation with a Personal Trainer, private group exercise demonstrations and all course materials.
Two sessions start this January:
- Thursday evenings at 6pm beginning 1/17
- Saturday mornings at 10am beginning 1/19
Pilates Boot Camp
This month we are offering our Pilates Boot Camp class on:
- Sunday January 13th at 9:30 am and....
- Sunday January 27th at 9:30 am
An hour and a half of Pilates Mat and Reformer Focus work. This is just the thing to jump start that New Year's resolution. For more information and to sign-up for this class click on the link below.

| January Celebrates Healthy Weight Week
January 20 - 26, 2008 is officially Healthy Weight Week.
Healthy Weight Week is a time to celebrate healthy lifestyles that last a lifetime and prevent eating and weight problems. Eat well, live actively, and feel good about yourself and others. It's a welcome change from the dieting and bingeing that typically begin the New Year!
The "Annual Slim Chance Awards" will be awarded to the year's worst diets on January 22nd - check our Blog for an update on the winners and losers.

More Classes!
Check out our expanded and revised group exercise schedules for Studios A and C. We have tons of great choices to keep you active all winter long.
Please note the addition of the following programs to the schedule for Studio C:
- Hot Yoga - 3 more classes on M,W,F at 5:30 pm
- Yogalates - T mornings at 9:15 am
- Power Yoga - T afternoons at 5:30 pm
- Chair Yoga - W afternoons at 12:00 pm
- Tai Chi - R afternoons at 5:30 pm

From the Pilates Studio
New Year, New Classes!
For the new year we have fine tuned our Pilates Equipment Class schedule to give you more variety and challenge.
Choose from Reformer Essentials, Pilates Express, Core Plus, Reformer Challenge, Reformer Focus, Beginner Group Circuit, and our Group Circuit classes.
These classes will give you the challenge you need with the consistency to bring you results. These classes were created based on current class participation and focus. For class descriptions and our class schedule click on the link below.
* If you had signed up for classes in January your enrollment remains the same for the selected day and time.
Reformer Focus Class: Define your back!
This month's focus classes will emphasize all of the muscle groups on your "backside" - rear shoulders, mid back, lower back stabilization, glutes, and calves.
