Gilat with her kangaroo buddy near Melbourne, AustraliaGreetings!
G'day! As you can see by my photo, I am back from my Australian wine adventure.

With Thanksgiving at our doorstep, I first want to thank you for your tremendous support of Renaissance Wine Academy this past year. I appreciate your friendship, your passion, and the great camaraderie we share through wine and good living!

When it comes to Thanksgiving, though, what is truly the best wine to pair with such a varied meal? Discover 5 key wine tips to make your Thanksgiving shine.

Did someone say Wine, women AND shoes? In the spirit of charity, I am inviting you to participate with me in a new event in Phoenix called Wine, Women & Shoes that will be taking place January 22-24, 2009, and will benefit the Sojourner Center. I am delighted to be the Emcee facilitatingThe Wine Depot: Wine Tasting & Shoe Pairing at Fleming's of Scottsdale at DC Ranch on Thursday, January 22.  Click here for details and tickets.(P.S. This is for gentlemen, too!)

But first, on Tuesday, December 16, at 3pm (Arizona MST), learn the 7 Secrets of Memorable Wine Gifting for the Holidays! If you would like to make a lasting impression on clients or family starting with the holidays and well into the new year, join me for this brand new, free teleseminar. As you may recall, I had the opportunity to visit Australia on a two-week wine tour as a wine competition winner, courtesy of Wine Australia, the Australian Wine Bureau. I traveled with 4 other national winners, met winemakers and bureau executives, and explored the stunning terrain of Australian wine country, from Margaret River to the Barossa Valley to Yarra and Clare Valleys, and more! Check out some amazing photos.

On the media front, I recently had the pleasure of sharing wine tips on the radio with the illustrious Scott Anderson on East Valley Radio Network (KAZG/1440AM), and was profiled in an article in the Fall 2008 issue of Chosen magazine (see Press Page).

Join us Dec. 16 for free tips on gifting wines!
Everyone knows a standard bottle of wine makes a nice gift when you go to someone's house for dinner, but will they remember which wine you brought the next day? A week later? Probably not. Will they associate you with a clever and unique gift? Not guaranteed.

BUT...what if there was a formula to follow where you could easily impress your friends and family, and cement your client relationships...simply through your choice of wine? It is possible! You can learn this formula free through Renaissance Wine Academy 's new, introductory teleseminar (a class held in conference call format).

DRINKING AMERICAN ON THANKSGIVING
Purists of this distinctly American holiday will enjoy the selection at Chateau U.S.A.
Look toward American wines to commemorate the traditions of Thanksgiving

According to Better Homes and Gardens magazine, Americans buy more wine for Thanksgiving Day than for any other holiday. And quite a number of these wine aficionados like to keep their sipping source domestic on Thanksgiving as a tribute to the milestone meal shared on American soil centuries ago.

While California, Washington, Oregon and New York are the current leaders in wine production nationwide, all 50 states now produce some form of wine to grace our tables. So if you want to branch out, try going local for a day and see what your fellow Americans have been up to in the winery.

To my Arizonan compatriots, check out this useful link to various wineries in our sunny state. Cheers!
