"Dry heat" is not the only thing sizzling in Phoenix this summer.
First, I have some exciting news to share. I am honored to announce that I have recently been selected as a national U.S. winner (Southwest) by Wine Australia, the Australian wine bureau, for the 2008 AusWISE wine competition.
Wine Australia will be sending me to Australia in September on a two-week wine tour with the other 4 U.S. regional winners and a wine bureau representative. To read more about this award, see the
Press Release on our new Press page. And stay tuned for some Aussie wine seminars upon my return!
Speaking of wine seminars, we are pleased to be offering new wine courses at The Capital Grille of Phoenix this August. Enjoy a unique
Wine 101 course (beyond the Sip and Swirl!), and an eye-opening
Classics & Counterparts™ workshop to expand your palate. Space is limited, but I hope to see you there!
You can visit our
Calendar of Events page to see ALL of our upcoming public events, including additional speaking appearances.
As I mentioned, another addition to our site has been the
Press page, to provide information and resources to interested parties. This is also where you can view a recent
interview of Renaissance Wine Academy by Maximiliano Morales of Chile-based
Andes Wines. Finally, in the true spirit of summer, I bring you two sunny articles in this issue: about a boutique winery in Maui, and cracking open an ice-cold can of....sparkling wine?! (Read it to believe it!)
Cheers!
