May 2010 NKE and NPPA Results
The exam results for the May 2010 National Knowledge Exam and National Professional Practice Assessment have been mailed by CCHRA. For more information, click here to visit the CHRP website.
Exam writers should receive their results sometime next week, as the letters were mailed from Ottawa. Please note that results are not available over the telephone and members will receive their results by the above noted letter only. Requests for copies of letters may only be made after July 19th to the HRANS office. |

October 2010 CHRP Exams - Registration Open
Registration for the October 2010 CHRP exams is now open. Please note that members interested in registering for the exams must have already renewed their membership for the period beginning June 2010 before registering for either exam.

In order to register for the NPPA, members must have already received confirmation that they are a CHRP Candidate (have already passed the NKE).
The deadline to register is Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Late exam registrations are not possible. |

National Unemployment Rate is Down
For the first time nationally since January 2009, employment increases have pushed the unemployment rate to below 8%.
The June gains in employment were concentrated in Ontario and Quebec. Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island held steady with slight increases in employment in June.
Compared to June 2009, NS has seen an employment increase of 1.2%. PEI has seen an employment increase of 2.3% for the same period, which is the highest in Atlantic Canada.
