| Dear CCM Friend and Partner, |
With 2010 in full swing I wanted to share a few testimonies from teams already back from the mission field of Nicaragua. These teams have all been well prepared and done a great job sharing the love of Christ. The CCM Board of Directors took their annual trip which was very informative as they viewed every area of the ministry. A camp was held on CCM campus for 100 youth from January 31-February 3. What a joy it was for these young people to experience a Christian camp, especially since many had never before been to anything like this. Even as I write this update for you, a team is on the field in Juigalpa building a home and holding Bible classes. Kim and I will join a team of 31 from our home church, First Baptist North Spartanburg. The projects planned are to build 4 homes, 4 bathrooms and feed 3 barrios. This team has been covered in prayer and we are all excited to see what God is going to do in and through this group as we share testimonies, teach children through Bible skits, and tell as many as we can reach about Jesus through door to door evangelism and other opportunities the Lord opens to us.
CCM has started a second Bible Institute where more pastors are being trained and grounded in a deeper knowledge of the Word of God. This Institute is located on the CCM Masaya Campus. CCM's first Bible Institute is located on the Leon Campus and is well into its second year and growing. As God continues to raise up new pastors and assistant pastors to fill positions across Nicaragua in churches God has used CCM to establish, I ask you to consider helping support these pastors through CCM's Pastor / Church Support Fund. From this Fund, CCM currently provides 15 pastors and assistant pastors the monthly financial support they need to lead their church as well as care for their own families. Monthly gifts from $75 to $200 will provide for one pastor or assistance pastor. If you, your church, your Sunday school class or other group are interested in helping support these pastors, please contact our office or send your gift marked CCM Pastor/Church Support. Speaking on behalf of all the CCM staff we are excited and amazed at the great and mighty things the Lord is already doing through the ministry this year. All of this is possible because of your faithful support. You are a major part, a critical part, of this ministry. Thank you so much for your continued willingness to pray, go and give. We thank God for each one of you and greatly appreciate your continued support to Chosen Children Ministries. God bless, Wallace Nix

| Kids for Christ
Catalyst Missions - Tennessee |
The first week in January, eleven young
adults ventured from Tennessee, California,
Georgia, and Wisconsin to Nicaragua for the
Catalyst 2010 Nicaragua Mission Trip. God
moved in and through our group in
extraordinary ways that none of us could
have predicted. Not only did the Lord allow
us to be a part of the incredible revival that
is sweeping across the country of Nicaragua,
He also blessed us with actually being able to
see the crop harvested when we saw over 70
children in 7 different barrios come forward
expressing interest in accepting Christ! In
each barrio our group conducted backyard Bible clubs with the children consisting of various Bible stories, at the end of which we had the opportunity each time to present the gospel of Jesus dying on the cross for their sins! Afterwards, our group conducted sports clinics with the children, playing whatever game the kids requested from soccer to "handball" to baseball to "carry the gringo". The sports served as a great way to bond with the kids despite the language barrier, and you'd be surprised at how skillful most of them are! We also had the opportunity at each barrio to meet the pastor of that area, and in every place he was there ready to help. It was so encouraging to know we weren't just coming in for a week and leaving but we were contributing to his ministry and those pastors would be there to follow up with the children long after we leave. One particular story from the week epitomizing the love and compassion of Christ really sticks out in my mind. One of the first days we were serving in the Enmanuel barrio, one of our team members witnessed Juan José, one of the boys who had just asked Jesus into his heart, immediately display God's love. Our team had just finished distributing all the food when a little boy walked up to our group late. We were completely out of juice and bread, but when Juan Jose noticed the new boy wasn't going to get any food he took half of his bread and shared it with the new boy. I'd definitely say he gets the message of Jesus! God continued to display His mighty power throughout the week, and our team will never be the same after witnessing it! ~Jana Ogg, Team Leader |
| Working to Show God's Love
First Baptist Church - South Fulton, Tennessee |
God has truly blessed once again. On this trip we were able to serve the Lord by building steps, a shower, and a clothes washing area for Pastor José at San Antonio Baptist church. We also held VBS there as well as a revival service and saw many people in the community come to know Christ. At the orphanage we helped continue the work on the fence, and gave school back packs to the kids. What a blessing those children are!
We were also given the opportunity to feed several families in three different communities, and we saw several people give their lives to Christ. Brother Ron held pastor conferences in Paradise and Juigalpa with 70 plus attending. The Lord did so much the week we were there. Pews were made for the Emmanuel church, 2600 pounds of food was provided to be distributed during the hot months of March and April, and we even got to take the kids to the local swimming pool.
I believe God has assembled the CCM ministry team and pastors there in Nicaragua for His purpose, and I know the example of faith and love they showed to us will help our own relationship with the Lord here at home. May God bless all of you. ~ Jason Yarbro, Team Leader

| CCM Says Goodbye and Welcomes New US Office Administrator |
|
CCM welcomes Amber Martin as our new US office administrator as Mellonee Carithers, CCM's former office administrator, leaves to complete her education and fulfill her calling to be an elementary educator. Please pray for Mellonee as she begins her student teaching and pray for Amber as she continues the work God is doing through CCM.
In the midst of serving the last three years as Chosen Children Ministries'
office administrator, God called me to be an early childhood educator. I
will begin my student teaching in February and complete my Master's Degree
in Early Childhood this spring. I have so enjoyed working at CCM and feel
very blessed to have been a part of this Christ-centered ministry these last
few years. God's hand is on CCM and His kingdom work is being
accomplished through the various efforts completed on the mission field and
here in the states. I will continue to be a part of CCM by leading a couples' mission trip with my husband this year and hopefully many years to come. I am so thankful to the Lord and to CCM for allowing me to be a small part of sharing His love and truth with the people of Nicaragua. It has blessed my life and I know God will use what I have learned in the office and on the mission field to make me a better teacher with the goal of pointing my students and coworkers to Him. ~ Mellonee Carithers
After participating in my first mission trip to Nicaragua through
Chosen Children Minsitries as a junior in high school, I knew I wanted
to always be a part of the CCM ministry. Now, five years later, I am
thrilled to be serving as Office Administrator of CCM's US office. I
have been on several mission rips to Nicaragua and recently
graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College with an Associate's
Degree in Spanish and Bible studies. I am very blessed and excited to
work with the many teams that come through Chosen Children to be the hands, feet, and heart of Christ to the Nicaraguan people. Our God is constantly in the business of taking us places, and doing things with us that only He can do. ~ Amber Martin
Jeremiah 32:27 ~ "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" | |

"You are My witnesses," declares the Lord, "And My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and there is no savior besides Me." ~ Isaiah 43:10-11 |
