TACCI President and several chamber executives & members will take part at the Fancy Food Show in Washington DC, between July 10 - 12. This event will once again gather dozens of Turkish food manufacturers which will fly out specially for this event. 16 Major Turkish Chambers Have Become TACCI Members During June

Turkish Union of Chambers is Encouraging Cooperation Between TACCI and the Turkish Chambers

TACCI and TOBB agreed to establish a stronger bond between the local chambers of commerce, industry, commerce and industry and commodity exchanges in 81 cities of Turkey, through TACCI membership. All qualifying chambers which totals up to 153 are invited to become members of TACCI through its regular membership types (General and Premium) and the process has been undergoing at the moment. Currently TACCI received more than 10 applications from the Turkish chambers and this number is expected to increase in the coming weeks. More programs and business opportunities will be mutually available for TACCI members and the members of the local chambers in Turkey, through this new connection. Please contact us and check our website's membership directory in the coming weeks to see the newest members of TACCI. Also, you can find the current list of the TACCI Member Turkish Chambers at the "TACCI Member News" section of our e-Newsletter.

TACCI Members Held a Dinner In Honor President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. 

 

Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TACCI) members held a dinner in honor of President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Chairman Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu.

Mr. Hisarciklioglu came to the US hold several meetings with different organizations including the meeting with TACCI members, Serra Bistro in Manhattan on June 3, 2011, for an exclusive dinner.  

Among the guests were H.E. Ertugrul Apakan, the United Nations Representative, H.E. Mehmet Samsar, New York Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Celal Secilmis, TACCI President and many other successful businessmen. Mr. Secilmis, TACCI President opened the speech by thanking guests for their participation and expressed his happiness to see Mr. Hisarciklioglu, then he invited Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu to the podium.

Mr. Hisarciklioglu began his speech by saying he is proud of being a TACCI member. He also stated that, the heart of the world economy is New York City, and the Turkish business community in this special location has a different mission. He stressed that working together in harmony is crucial and the Turkish community needs to join their powers to achieve their goals.   

''You are Destined to be Wealthy and Strong''

Mr. Hisarciklioglu said that the bilateral trade between the US and Turkey is still not at a desired level and both parties have a lot to do to increase these levels. He also said that Turkey needs to be more visible in the US Market, because Turkey already has succeed in the other markets, such as Europe and Middle East, and now it's time to put the Turkish products in high-demand in the US market.  "The Turkish business community in this strong and wealthy market is destined to become strong and wealthy.", he added.

TACCI President Celal Secilmis presented an award plaque to Rifat Hisarciklioglu, for his support and service to TACCI...

Another Successful Networking Event at TACCI Member Sovereign Bank / Santander

"Business Road to Success" Networking Event Hosted by Sovereign Bank / Santander and TACCI 

 

Mr. Ali Ince, Assistant Vice President in Business Banking at TACCI Member Sovereign Bank / Santander, along with his whole team, hosted 50+ TACCI members and guests at another successful networking event at the spacious Radio City branch of the bank. The event attracted many TACCI members, also representatives of different chambers and business organizations in the city.

The event will featured a mini-seminar called "Business Road to Success" and a lot of time to network with chamber members and other guests. This free event also featured a gift raffle, and lots of delicious snacks and refreshments provided by Sovereign Bank / Santander. We are looking forward to seeing all our members and supporters at our upcoming events.

October: The American Turkish Society Fifth Annual Gala Dinner: The American Turkish Society will award its Annual Corporate Partnership Award to Duncan L. Niederauer, Chief Executive Officer, NYSE Euronext and S�reyya Ciliv, Chief Executive Officer, Turkcell. The gala dinner will celebrate Turkcell's ten years on the New York Stock Exchange. (More info soon)
