BOSWELL AQUATIC CENTER IS OPEN!
The Boswell Aquatic Center is open for the Summer.
BONUS: The BAC will be open from 12pm-4pm on Independence Day, Mon., July 4th.
YMCA Members have FREE access to the BAC all summer long.
BAC daily fees are (Non-Y Members):
Adults (13 years old to Adult): $3.00
Four to twelve years old: $2.00
3 years old and under free: FREE
Don’t forget to book your Pool Party or event at the BAC, ASAP! Time and space is limited.

UPCOMING ACTIVITES
Summer Day Camp
It’s the summer to discover. Day Camp is for children entering grades 1st through 6th. Each week your child will participate in exciting field trips, swimming, roller skating, and super science days, as well as focus on our Christian mission through out the summer. Lunch and two snacks will be served each day. Session Dates: May 31-August 17th.
Registration fee: $20 (No registration fee for those who sign-up for auto draft).
Full time fee: $75/$90 per week Part time fee: $60/$75
Summer School full time: $50/$65 Summer School part time: $45/$50
For your convenience each participant has the option of selecting up to four weeks vacation (M-F, in 1 week blocks). Several payment options are available to make paying easier! Financial aid is available. *Camp will not be in session
on July 4.

CHILDREN/YOUTH PROGRAMS
Sports Programs
Flag Football: K-2nd Grade
Tackle Football: 3rd-6th Grade ($12 football equipment usage fee)
Cheerleading: 3rd-6th Grade
Soccer: PreK-8th Grade
Registration: June 27-July 24. Programs will begin in August. Participants may request a coach, there will not be a
draft. Participants may register online or at the YMCA.

New Tennis Program
Participants: All registrants ages 4-10 as well as Summer Day Camp kids. Summer Day Camp kids will be participating on Wednesdays.
Season: July 5 - July 29
Program Fee: Members $15.00, Non-Members $48.00
Practices: Practices will be held at the Bolivar Middle School tennis courts at 9am to 11am. The program will consist of a four week schedule on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday except for week one will begin Tuesday, July 5th due to the Fourth of July falling on Monday. We are planning to attend a Springfield Lasers tennis match and tennis clinic from 4pm-5:15pm July 19th. More details will be provided the first day of practice.
Equipment: Tennis racquets and tennis balls will be furnished. If you have your own equipment you may bring it. Team shirt, tennis shoes, socks, shorts or tennis skirts, and a towel are recommended as well as sun screen, hat or visor, snacks, and water or sport drink. (Breaks will be taken to allow for hydration and rest). Coolers of ice water will be on site for refills.
Team shirt: Will be handed out at the first practice. These shirts will be worn at every practice.
Prime Time
Prime Time is a school-year long program designed to meet the needs of families who need quality after school child
care. Prime Time is a safe, well-supervised, value-promoting program that meets all state day care licensing
requirements. Prime Time begins the first day of school and ends on the last day of school. The program is in session
on all regular school days, Monday-Friday. If school is not in session Prime Time is not in session.
For your convenience, we have divided the payments into 18 equal payments. Due to ongoing operation expenses,
there are no rate reductions for absences.
Registration Fee $20
Full Time (1-5 days) $50/semi monthly for family members
$62.50/non-members
Part Time (1-3 days) $42.50/semi monthly for family members
$50/non-members
YTeens
YTeens is an afterschool club for middle school students. It is a safe and well-supervised, value-promoting program
by YMCA Teen Staff who facilitate a wide variety of activities from which the students choose. Activities include
homework time, arts and crafts, video games, personal training, and sports and athletic activities.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Triathlon - Sponsored by Framers Insurance - Justin Blair
This is a FUN competitive event designed for children only and parent/child teams.
When: Saturday, July 23 at 8:45am. Registration Deadlines: Early: Monday, July 18. Final: Saturday, July 23 by
8:15am, $10 late fee day of.
Divisions: Parent/Child Team (One parent/guardian per child per entry. Both must participate together in each event).
Youth Individual (9-12 & 13-14 ages only)
Ages 5-8: Swim 25 yards, Bike 1 mile, Run .5 mile
Ages 9-12: Swim 50 yards, Bike 1.5 miles, Run 1 mile
Ages 13-14: Swim 100 yards, Bike 3 miles, Run 2 miles
Cost: Y Members: Team $18, Youth Individual $10. Non-Members: Team $28, Youth individual $15.
Fee includes participant t-shirt. Make sure to register early! $10 late fee on day of July 23.

DALLAS COUNTY - WELLNESS
CARDIO KICKBOXING It’s a great combination of boxing, martial arts and aerobics blended together to produce an impactful cardiovascular workout. Kickboxing workout offers a full body workout, from the core muscle groups to the small muscle groups. Participants get to burn huge amount of calories in this process. Since the complete body is involved, the calorie consumption rate is always high, thus helping one in their weight loss target
LITE AND LOW Monday and Wednesday from 5:45-6:45am. A fun safe workout for all. This is a strictly low impact aerobic class. This class is at a lower tempo, moves to a slower pace, and has fewer directional changes. This class is great for beginners, those looking to start getting back in shape, and those just looking for a lower impact class.
AEROBICS/CARDIO STRENGTH Saturday from 10:15-11:00am This cross training approach to exercise incorporates the various styles and training principles used in sports conditioning & cardio workouts. Train your body and mind! All levels welcome.
CORE MANIA Monday from 5:15-6:00pm
Saturday from 8:15-9:00am Targets the abdomen and your lower back muscles known as your core. Uses body resistance exercises, balance exercises, core boards and stability balls to improve posture and create a strong center.
PACE Tuesday from 5:30-6:15pm
Saturday from 9:15-10:00am The PACE arthritis program consists of 4 main elements. Exercise - including stretching or range of motion exercises, strengthening exercises and endurance routines. Health Education - providing up to date information about arthritis self-management and exercise. Movement Activities - to promote social interaction, movement, balance and body awareness. Relaxation Exercises - to introduce and practice various stress management techniques which are helpful for stress and pain reduction.
ZUMBA 1 Monday and Friday from 10:00-11:00am Combines high energy and motivation music with unique moves and combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries and get in shape! These routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. ALL levels welcome.Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00-2:45pm
CIRCUIT TRAINING Wednesday and Friday from 5:15-6:00pm Circuit training is a proven method of strength training that increases cardio fitness as it “tones”. A properly designed circuit will increase your lean muscle mass, speed up your metabolism and enhance your aerobic capacity. Great compliment to the Lite & Low class! (Starts October 16th).
BOOT CAMP Saturday from 7:30-8:00am. Intense interval training class incorporating cardiovascular drills and strength training. High paced class may use stations, equipments, and boot camp like drills.
SILVER SNEAKERS Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-7:30pm Muscular Strength & Range of Movement.
Have fun and move to the music using a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are used for resistance and a chair is used for seating and/or standing support.
TAI CHI Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00-11:00am Learn how to strengthen and relax your body, relieve mental stress and physical tension and greatly increase body awareness and balance. Tai Chi for Arthritis was developed jointly by the Arthritis Foundation. Our Tai Chi program will include muscle strengthening, flexibility, and fitness. Additional health benefits include: increased relaxation, better balance, improved posture, and increased immunity. All levels are welcome.
POWER STRETCHING Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-1:30pm Gently improve core strength, flexibility, and muscular stature. Class will be led through stretches and some yoga postures. The class is designed to increase flexibility through seated and lying postures along with passive release of muscle tension while building muscle and increasing flexibility.
FLOOR CORE WORK Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-5:15pm Targets the abdomen and your lower back muscles known as your core. Uses body resistance exercises, balance exercises, core boards and stability balls to improve posture and create a strong center.
ZUMBA BASIC Thursday from 5:30-6:15pm Participants will use Zumba’s main workout routine which teaches participants the introductory movements and practices to help you become fit and trim. Zumba basic still includes the same high energy and unique moves and combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries and get in shape! ALL levels welcome to this FUN class!

CAMP WAKONDA
Your summer adventure starts at Camp Wakonda. We offer week-long overnight camp experiences for grades 2nd -9th. The 2011 year will be an exciting year for camp Wakonda as we welcome our new pool facility and an improved program. Campers will learn about themselves, the environment, and gain new skills. They will build new friendships with both cabin mates and counselors. Camp Wakonda allows campers to experience God and the Y mission in a pristine outdoor environment where they feel close to God's perfect creation. They'll have a great time playing games, climbing on the tower, swimming in the pool, and just being kids. They will be challenged to think of how to become people of character and of course they will have tons of fun!
