"Danny Rocks Tips and Timesavers" by Danny Rocks |
iTunes Podcast for Danny Rocks | Two months ago, I had breakfast with a colleague who publishes a monthly e-newsletter - "The Look and Sound of Leadership." I had asked to have breakfast with Tom Henschel because I wanted to get feedback on my own e-newsletter as well as to ask him about his success with making his e-newsletter available as a Podcast at the iTunes store.
As always, Tom was generous with his feedback and his expertise. The key take-away from that meeting was when Tom said, "I like the videos that you post on your website, but I don't like being forced to go to your website to view them. If you make them available on iTunes, then I can subscribe to them or visit to view and download them at my convenience."
That was an "eye-opener" for me. How easy it is to get locked into looking at a topic from only your perspective. I had not considered that my "customers" might have more pressing needs then to stop everything in order to view my video lessons from my site.
I should have know better.
Today, visitors to a website want to "Grab and Go." They want to be able to "grab" the content that is of interest to them - to download it to be viewed at a later time and perhaps on a different device at a different location. Perhaps to view, listen or read it on an iPhone while travleing on an airplane.
I am happy to say that I took Tom's advice and went to work on making my videos available for you to "grab and go" as you please. Please visit my Podcast on iTunes. Currently, there are 11 videos for you to view or download. If you subscribe, the next video will be delivered to you automatically!
