I am really excited to announce that my Essential Oil classes will be in the afternoons on Saturdays from 3:00pm- 5:00pm.  Classes are free.  You will be learning the therapeutic properties of these oils and how they may benefit your health and well-being with everyday use.  I will begin with the Essential 7 kit. This is basically an introduction kit opening the door to essential oils.

When investigating essential oils, beginners may feel overwhelmed by the number of choices that are available.  The Essential 7 kit contains seven of the most popular essential oils.  They are selected for their wide range of life-enhancing benefits and for their popularity with experienced essential oil users.  Learning about the effects of these seven popular products will vastly increase your understanding of essential oils.  Essential 7 is excellent for beginning essential oil enthusiasts and provides all the oils necessary for a wide variety of circumstances. Classes will be conducted in 4 sessions at Dr Reddin's office.  I want to keep the classes short, covering 4 therapeutic oils per class. Here's the schedule:

2/21/09   Young Living Essential Oils, Lavender,
                               Lemon and Peppermint
2/28/09   Joy, PanAway, Peace & Calming,
                              and Purification

Essential 7 kitYou will  need to purchase your Essential 7 kit and bring it with you to class.  Classes start the last two weeks of February giving you plenty of time for your Essential 7 kit to be delivered.  You will also need to have paper and pencil to take notes.  Please call me or email me to let me know you wish to attend as there is limited seating.

I have a guest writer this month for the pathology review.  I invited Dr. Jasmar Reddin, DC, PC to share her professional opinion and experience of the benefits of massage therapy in conjunction with chiropractic care. I hope you all enjoy her article this month in the Pathology Insight.

Cold and flu season is still upon us.  Raindrop Treatments may help you overcome the tiredness, constant fatigue and lack of energy as well as promote the immune system.  I love receiving Raindrop Treatments.  Afterwards, I feel full of energy for days.  The essential oils used in the Raindrop Treatments are anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal (along with many other healthy benefits) and I know that I am helping my body to fight any cold or flu bug that I have been exposed to. A Full description of my Raindrop Therapy Massage is available on my website.

beautiful silverI just have to share this with you again...it is fascinating to be working with the lawful, constitutional money of our American Republic.  Silver Eagle Dollars are REAL money unlike Federal Reserve Notes (paper currency) and are a store of value that is not subject to inflation.  In fact, with the ever-increasing inflation and debasement of the paper currency, precious metals such as gold and silver (real money) are the best way to accumulate and protect your wealth.  Plus, getting these beautiful silver coins in the mail is just plain fun!

I will continue to send out this monthly promotional featuring the current special I might be offering, letting you know about any new services or products being offered, and making announcements of anything new at White Dragon Therapies. I only send out ONE email (usually on the first of each month) every month.

If you do not wish to receive these newsletters, please use the "safe unsubscribe" feature at the bottom of this page.  I am paying to use Constant Contact to help me provide and deliver this newsletter to you.  Constant Contact is permission only based email.  I ask that you please do not click the spam button on your computer to discontinue receiving these newsletters.  If I get too many spam notices on my account, Constant Contact will discontinue my membership.  I thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

When you call to schedule your appointment, please mention any coupons or gift certificates that you are wanting to redeem.

Wishing you and all your loved ones continued good health.

(keep in mind that a massage therapist is NOT a physician.  I am not qualified to diagnose or prescribe.  I am however able to asses and provide self care suggestions and refer clients to specialist.  So, with this in mind here we go...)

This month's article is by Dr. Jasmar Reddin, DC, PC.  I thought it would be a great idea to solicit other professional health care providers' thoughts and opinions to help with your well-being concerns:

Pathology Insight:  Weathering the Storms

Have you all shared your December snow and January wind storm stories with friends?  We all had a great time during those spells, didn't we?  Beau and I certainly dug a lot of snow.

Whether we shared the following information with our friends and family or just our doctors is debatable:

- my joints all ache
- I am so stiff
- my muscles feel restricted
- my daily activities feel more difficult to perform
- I can't stretch out enough
- my regular exercise makes me hurt too much to do it

It's not just the mental stress of the intense weather that got to us. It was also the physical stress associated with barometric pressure changes, changes in humidity, as well as dramatic changes in temperature.  Don't forget the wind chill that tensed our necks and backs.

Walking in the slippery snow requires us to change our normal gait into a cautious, awkward stiff gait to avoid falling.  Falling or not, the hips, legs and feet can become tense and painful.  Shoveling snow creates shoulder, back and arm pain because of the lifting of wet, heavy snow and tossing it off the driveway (or parking lot!)

Don't forget, it can take a few weeks for some symptoms to manifest themselves.  Often, persistent cold weather can provoke new problems.  Fall and winter weather are times for many individuals to increase their therapy regimes not just due to injury, but due to chronic arthritis and rheumatoid conditions.

Chiropractic and massage are excellent therapies for restoring range of motion and reducing the muscle tension developed during winter weather.  Reduced range of motion can cause pain, achiness, stiffness and difficulty in performing routine activities or exercise.

Never forget to listen to your body.  Take care of yourself!  We're here to help.
