A divine prayer mantle--a new prayer anointing is being released from heaven that will take you beyond the natural into a powerful new dimension of strategic, spritual warfare prayer! When you take hold of this prayer mantle, something supernatual will take place in your prayers. You will come to a place where your prayers will not be a struggle! You will go past head knowledge and enter an experience, where your prayers will be anointed with such an incredible power that they will penetrate the spiritual darkness and destroy satanic strongholds. There will be absolutely no hindrances that will be able to stand before this new prayer anointing that God will pour out upon you.
It is not enough anymore just to pray the same type of prayers we have been praying. We must rise up to a new level of strategic, spiritual warfare prayer. This level of prayer is beyond ordinary prayer! It is a much deeper dimension of prayer that involves engaging the enemy in one-on-one combat, wrestling, battling the powers and principalities and evil spirits that are at work and not letting go until we have overcome their resistance and broken their strongholds.
The word "strategic" means 'that which counts most.' In other words, when you pray strategically, you don't get involved in non-essentials. A more expanded definition for strategic is "absolutely essential to the fulfilling of a plan." When we pray strategically, we know God's plan, and we will rise up to fulfill the plan that we know comes from God!
In this new level of strategic, spiritual warfare prayer, you are praying for that which counts the most. To do that you must understand the nature of the battle! If you do not understand this war, you will never have a strategy for victory. You must understand that you are wrestling against powers and spiritual wickedness that are in the high places of the earth.
The Apostle Paul fully understood the nature of the battle, as well as the forces of darkness and how to win the battle. He used the intense terminology of the Greek games: wrestling, agonizing, and contending, as well as the military terminology to describe this spritual war we are in: For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Ephesians 6:12 AMP
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. KJV
Principalities are the princes of the underworld who manipulate certain sections of the universe. They are ruling spirits assigned over nations and cities. These spirits function by exerting their influence over the heads of nations and kings. They seek to control the political lives of these nations, using the human heads as their main device of operation. Prinicipalities are the highest of the rankings in the enemy's domain.
Powers are the second level of authority in the devil's domain. They exercise their authority over the decision-making bodies of a nation, influencing the structures of the governing authorities, encouraging wicknesdness by promoting injustice, and controlling lawmakers and policy-makers in places of authority. In Daniel 6:3, 6-8, the counselors and governors conspired against Daniel and got King Darius to issue decrees banning all religious activities. This same spirit is ruling today, banning prayer in schools and much more. It may be beneficial to take time to study the book of Daniel.
Powers also can sway the thoughts and feelings of average people. They can influence people to kill, to steal, and to indulge in all kinds of destructive behavior. These powers seek to control the mind and trap you in a web of deception. They have the power and capability to draw Christians away from praying as much as they should, to minimize their compassion and concern for lost souls and so on. These powers also operate through the media. Their assignment is to make you believe a lie.
Rulers of darkness, as stated in Ephesians 6:12, is derived from the Greek "kosmokrateros" which also means world rulers. These powers are mandated by the devil to promote false religion and occult practices, thereby enslaving the souls of men again in deception. These rulers of darkness aim to control. They will control anything they can lay their vile hands on. They deceive by false teachings, visions and dreams. They promote horoscope, hypnotism, witchcraft, black and white magic, and much more.
The next is spiritual wickedness. The assignment of this wickedness is to promote lawlessness and wickedness in the land, ensnaring souls of men into all sorts of abominable sins, such as homosexuality, rape, lust, lasciviousness, suicide, and drug addiction. Spiritual wickedness is responsible for tragedies such as accidental deaths and suicides.
As you can see, we are dealing with a well-organized cartel of evil, and we cannot afford to put on party gear. We are in a war. Don't take anything for granted. The god of this world (Satan) is working overtime, and we need to rise up and be in the rank. We are wrestling with unseen beings without bodies. We are warring against powers of this world and against spiritual wickedness. Wicked spirits are foul and malicious and operate without mercy. They destroy anything good, and if they can, they will destroy you and what is dear to your heart in no time. The devil will strike anything, anytime, anywhere that will hurt you most.
So people of God, lift yourselves up, get yourselves out of slumber, put on your armor, and take the battle to the enemy's gate. When things go wrong in your life, at home, at church, in your marriage or relationships--don't look on aloof, but grab your weapons of warfare and begin to fight.
When you pray strategically, you will not deal with sickness, with natural forces, or the natural things that you need--financial lack, your children, city, or nation. Instead of having confrontation with things, you will go past the natural to the root cause, to deal with that which counts the most! Strategically, you will go past the surface! You will no longer deal with sickness. You will deal with what causes sickness. What caused the sickness was when man fell in the Garden of Eden. There are three things that God never intended for man to know: sin, sickness, and death. When man fell, sin, sickness, death, and the curse came, but praise God! God sent Jesus for a divine purpose--to destroy the works of the devil! For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 KJV
Defense was not the purpose for Jesus' coming. The purpose for Jesus coming (and the purpose of the Church today) was not so we would be able to defend ourselves against sickness. It is to go to the root cause and lay the stripes of Jesus Christ on the curse of sickness and disease!
When we talk about a strategic, spiritual warfare level of praying, the word "level" denotes and separates the difference between one place from another. It could be a person, an object, or even a concept. "Level" denotes that which is in relationship to one another. A strategic, spiritual warfare prayer level is that which counts the most in confronting the highest levels of spritual forces. What we need God to do is raise us to the highest level of spiritual warfare prayer, where we can wage war against the greatest confrontation of demonic power and lay the axe to the root of the tree. At this level, we are in control!
You have been given the power! Jesus said, "Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you" (Luke 10:19, AMP). He said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8, KJV).
The word authority comes from the Greek word "exousia" which literally means "the right to exercise." The word power is translated from the Greek word "dunamis" which means "miracle-working power." Your new level of strategic spiritual warfare prayer begins with your experience of delegated authority! You have been given the miracle-working power of God and the right to exercise it!
As you pray under His delegated authority, in His Name, there is no power of the enemy that can withstand you! You rise to the highest level of conforntation. You are not waiting for the enemy to come to you. You are invading his territory, confronting the powers of darkness wherever you find them, and are commanding them to go, speaking the word of deliverance in Jesus' Name!
Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you" (John 15:16). The word ask means "to make a demand on something that is due." Jesus said ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. Why? Because you have exousia! It's your right! It's been given to you! Jesus said if you ask--make a demand of that which is due--in His Name, He will do it! God wants you to rise up in this new level of strategic, spiritual warfare prayer in Jesus' Name with exousia and with dunamis!
The new level of strategic, spiritual warfare prayer I am referring to goes beyond the believer's spiritual capacity. The Holy Spirit prays though us. It's not us anymore doing the praying. The apostle Paul said: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).
Paul, the great apostle of prayer, said that we do not even know how to pray. When we pray in the Spirit, the Spirit knows our infirmities. In the natural, we don't know how to pray. But suddenly, something happens. The Spirit begins to make intercession for us with groanings! We go beyond our spiritual capacity and enter a new dimension--a new level of spiritual warfare prayer. When the Holy Spirit divinely energizes us, we begin to pray in the will of God. We pray with an anointing because it is no longer us doing the praying, but God, through the Holy Spirit, is praying through us! No more ordinary prayer!
So are you desperate? I mean really desperate? Desperate for your circumstances to change? Desperate for your family? Desperate for your nation? Desperate for your city?
Desperation is the place where we come to when we know we have no where else to turn. It releases something inside of us. Your prayers are effectual--fevent! When you become desperate, you will never give up and never let go until you have the answer you need from God!
This new level of strategic warfare prayer is yours IF you are willing to die. If you are willing to put self on the altar, God is ready to take you to a level of prayer that goes beyond your natural capacity, where you provide the vessel but God does the praying. God is releasing a divine mantle of prayer--a new prayer anointing. Yield yourself to Him!
