Greetings From Haiti!
 Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we serve here as a representative for the Body of Christ to the homeless and forgotten children of Haiti.
In the last two and a half years we have seen the mighty hand of God work miracle after miracle in the lives of these special kids.
Once homeless and alone, they now have a family, hope and, most importantly, Jesus.
Some of our older boys have just started vocational internships that will provide them with valuable job skills when they leave the orphanage. This is very exciting! But without a firm foundation in Christ the training means nothing.
We remain committed to raising up disciples that will be a beacon of hope to Haiti and the world. Please continue to pray for our family and all of the children we serve here - as we seek to honor and serve Him.
Thank you for keeping us and the children in your prayers.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against
the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
realms." Ephesians 6:12 In Christ in Haiti,
The Manasseros

Help Send Our Girls to School Last year, these precious
beautiful girls we're walking down a crowded, dirty Haitian boulevard, begging
for money to live. Today, they are
healthy, happy, living in a clean, safe home with the hope of Jesus and for a promising future.
We have spent the last 7
months preparing them to attend school.
Arriving early every weekday morning, pencils and papers in hand, our
staff would teach them the basics in our "inhouse school" -- how to hold your pencil, how to write the
alphabet, their name, basic math and how to behave in a school setting. They did great!
Now, they are ready to
attend "real" school, but the funds are not there. $4,200 U.S. dollars are needed in order for
our 15 Girls home residents to enroll and attend in September.
We don't like to use this
newsletter to ask for money, but we are in need. The girls are very excited and are praying
that the opportunity will come for them to attend school in September, like
the boys at Maison de Lumiere.
Won't you pray about
it. Maybe
your family, school, job,
church, youth group or other organization might want to take on this
cause to help us raise the needed funds to
send our girls to school. The girls have worked so very hard. Iit
would be very sad to see the school year come and go without them being
able to attend.
Won't you please pray about this. If you have any questions, just email us at childhopeintl@yahoo.com. You can also donate online or
mail a donation to Child Hope School Fund, P.O. Box 3677, Redondo
Beach, CA90277. Make sure you
designate the funds for "Girls School." Thank you and God bless.

Local Kids Need School, Too! Because of our
very successful used cell phone business in past years, we had raised
enough funds to not only fund all the kids at Maison de Lumiere, but we
were also able to send some local needy kids to school. When the used
cell phone business in Haiti went south, we thought we were going to
have to
abandon a group of local kids who depended on us to send them school. But, by the grace of God, and through the
generosity of many of you, we were able to raise enough money to
send over 25 needy kids to school.
Again, we are
counting on you and others to help out here. We are already in need of
$4200 for the children at the orphanage. We need another $3,750 or 25
scholarships at $150 each if these other children are to continue their
education.
These children who will
not attend school if we do not help.
$150 does not buy much in the
U.S. -- maybe a month or two of Starbucks. But here, $150 can change a life. Won't you please pray about helping one of
these special little children. $150
sponsors will receive a picture, bio and thank you card from the child they
sponsor.
You can donate online or
mail your donation to Child Hope School Fund, P.O. Box 3677, Redondo
Beach, CA90277. Make sure you
designate the funds for "Neighborhood Kids School Fund." Thank you and God bless.

Orphanage Summer Schedule This summer is going to be a fun, busy and exciting one for the kids at Maison de Lumiere.
A host of special activities (beach and pool trips, hikes, museums, etc.), in-house classes (French, computers, English Camp) and the launch of our vocational training program are just a few of the many things that will be keeping our kids very busy this summer.
We are especially excited that six of our older boys are entering into apprenticeship programs in auto mechanics, carpentry and auto electrician. These new programs require the children to work eight-hour days, five days a week, during the summer and continuing on Saturdays during the school year. Upon completion, they will be qualified to began work in that field.
We are very excited and blessed how the Lord is working and providing these incredible opportunities. We (the Manasseros) are only sad that we will have to miss some of the activities while on sabbatical in the States. Again, however, we are blessed with an awesome staff that will carry on in our absence.
Please keep our incredible staff - Fritz, Zach, Daniel, Roseline, Renald & Dadoon -- in your prayers. The busy schedule puts added stress on them and they'll need prayers for peace and Godly wisdom. Thank you.

Manasseros Head West We will be visiting the States for a brief sabbatical this summer, which will include a few Mister Bill events, church visits, time with family (hopefully a Disneyland or Knotts trip in there) and much valued R&R time.
Unfortunately, we were unable to get the necessary paperwork to get our two Haitian children, Francesca and Kenson, to join us -- as their adoption is still "in-process." We are hoping everything will be complete by our next trip to the U.S. -- Lord willing.
Our schedule is posted below and we would love to see you if you are going to be in or at a location we are visiting. Please drop by and say hello, if you have a chance. We would personally like to thank you for your prayers and support throughout the year and in the challenges ahead.
God bless.

Please Pray for Dadoon Recently, the two year old daughter of one of our employees -- Dadoon, the live-in nanny at the girls' home -- passed away unexpectedly.
This was a shock to all of us. Dadoon is very hurt and in deep pain. This was her only child.
Please keep her in your prayers -- for strength and comfort from the Lord. We all mourn for her and are praying that she will be comforted by the Giver of all strength.
