He said that people using video in 2012 were "in front of a trend'.

YouTube says that on average there are more than 400 tweets every minute containing a YouTube link.

Facebook says over 150 years worth of YouTube videos are watched every single day!

Internet Retailer reports that online shoppers who viewed video on product pages were 144% more likely to add an item to their shopping cart than other shoppers.

Retail site visitors who view video stay two minutes longer on average and are 64% more likely to purchase than other site visitors.

Shoeline.com saw a 44% increase in online sales conversions by using videos to showcase their products. "With such positive results on our existing videos, the goal right now is to add video to as many of our products as possible," says Frank Malsbenden, VP and GM of Vision Retailing Inc., the parent company of Shoeline.com.
