For all the prayers & blessings on my recent surgery. I am in physical therapy (tough going!), still walking with a cane & cannot drive. But, things can only get better, right?
Thanks to Marisa, my driver/sister & Jacki, my assistant, I will be able to attend The Pennsylvania Herb Festival this Friday & Saturday, April 13th & 14th, in York, PA.
This year, The International Herb Association has picked Rose (rosa species) as the herb/flower of the year because of it's culinary, medicinal & ornamental properties. Our Blue Moon table will have lots of rose inspired gifts and some beautiful rose oils, so stop by and "smell the roses".

Celebrate the Season
I have officially been hit with spring fever! It is now time to bask in the light, talk to the faeries & plant a garden. I have been climbing the walls since surgery & finally got out for an afternoon visit with my friend Sarah. While the tea brewed, I sat in her garden which is really an extension of her, both in personality and design...filled with magic and faeries. Suddenly I remembered something Joanna Colbert wrote about natures' shifts & listening to the plants:
"How then does each of us become native to the place where we live? It has to do with listening, and connecting. Getting to know the Place where you live so intimately that you identify with it. Gary Snyder said... if you know what is taught by the plants and weather, you are in on the gossip and can truly feel more at home." |
