Where the Grandmothers Lead....
In 1870 Mother's Day was a peace celebration. Julia Ward Howe, a woman inspired by the work of Ann Jarvis, (Ann was an anti-war activist who worked for peace & social justice), created what was known as the "Mother's Day Proclamation" otherwise known as "Mother's Day of Peace". This was a day for women to speak out against war, for their sons & daughters & all peoples across the world. How true her voice speaks for us today. These are desperate times for the world & those who inhabit it. They say when the student is ready the teacher appears. Can the same be said for hope? It has appeared in the form of these 13 wise old women. Crones, for sure. Peace will surely begin with woman...& the The Elders, The Grandmothers, say it best.
If you have not as yet read any of their books now is the time. The Net of Light is to me, the pivotal teaching. They talk about what they call "The Net of Light". The balance in the world is askew & what is needed is the power of yin, the energy of the feminine, The Divine Feminine. The Grandmothers say, "The Net is lit by the jewel of the heart. It is held primarily by women... it is mostly women who will hear the message & understand the importance of the Net of Light & use it to help others. "The first step toward restoring balance on Earth belongs to women," the Grandmothers say. "It can be no other way."
