Earth Day....Every Day
Throughout history, there have always been people who used & respected the natural powers of Mother Earth. They lived in harmony, using Her resources wisely. What sadness surrounds us today. We devour & destroy our precious Mother Earth, pouring toxic chemicals into our environment. The ocean is the womb of all life, yet Her waters become more polluted by the day. Ecology activist John Seed states that the rate of environmental destruction is so rapid that "unless we spark an unprecedented revolution in consciousness" no action that we take now can save us.
Our bellies are connected to mother earth just like an umbilical cord binding us to Her core. What damages Our Mother damages us. What heals Our Mother heals us. As Lisa Sarasohn says" we have been sitting in Gaia's lap for a long time. Now it's time for us to hold Her in ours."
Lakota Elder Russell Means says Matriarchy is the answer to a world in crisis. He, along with the Grandmothers know that the balance for all must begin with women. The Divine Feminine, the interest in Matriarchal societies, Godesss worship...think about it...are women the answer?
This day could be a beginning. If you have not already done so make the changes in your life that will lessen the environmental impact you have on the world. And picture a world with sparkling oceans, rich vibrant forests, healthy animals & a peace seeking people. Saturate yourself in this image. Breath deep and send your healing energy out to the world with open arms. After all, a little healing magick never hurts :)
By request...from Spirit of the Divine Feminine
"Gaia, teach me your compassion, patience, and forgiveness. Clothe me in your bright beauty, sprinkle sun and moonshine in my eyes. Infuse me with your power so I can work with you. Show me harmonious ways. Teach me to live fully each season in turn, diving into the bounty and the dearth. Remind me to turn deep within the wilderness for your guidance. Let each moment of work, play, rest, loving, creating, dying, be in remembrance to you. Beloved Gaia, Mother Earth, I bow to your mystery. You who have conceived and created all life, I drink your cool water and eat your nourishing plants as communion. You who destroy and stand by the dying, I accept your pruning with thankfulness".
Happy Earth Day & Blessings to our Goddess |
