 Merry Meet & Autumn Blessings!
Is it really Mabon again? Goddess, the year really flew by, didn't it? After a summer of intense heat, which I loved...loved...loved...we are again at that point on the Wheel of the Year, Autumn Equinox. This is the feast at the height of harvest. It is also one of two times a year when the day & night, light & dark are in balance. It is a time of symmetry, of shifting priorities, of evaluating your energy & life, discarding unwanted habits & traits and tasking on the new. So as fall lurks around the corner my thoughts drift to internal matters.
What supports you? What depletes you?
I am supported by water, specifically the sea. I can never be too far from its soothing sound & smell. The ocean whispers her secrets & kisses away my salty tears & I am whole again. I am also enjoying this glorious extended summer at the beach. There is truly something magickal in the air & tomorrow a beautiful Harvest Moon will hang over it all while the sun moves into my birthday sign of Libra, the sign of balance. Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of Love. It's all about LOVE - That's it! |

This is the time of season when the crone rules. It is she who assists us in transition from one life to the next. She is the Wise Woman, the One who knows. We honor Her, the dark Goddess in many forms, Cerridwen, Hecate, Kali, Persephone among others. The dark Goddess lives in us all. Her energy stores Her feminine power, deep withing Her belly. A dark goddess should not be associated with black magick or evil.
The dark goddess is simply the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess. Accepted & honored, the dark goddesses give us the strength to overcome the fear of rejection, stand in our truth & tell it how it is.
