"In a previous life we were mermaids ~ in the next, we'll be the same ~ the ocean will whisper her secrets, & kiss our salty tears"
Summer, the sea and a time to honor the Sea Goddesses, we are all familiar with YEMAYA-OLOKUN, Mother of the Sea, with intelligence beyond human comprehension.
She is called "the constantly coming woman" Lesser known.... MAMA COCHA (Peru)- Mother Sea, the eldest divinity of ancient Peru, worshipped not only by the Incas but by all the tribes of South America's Pacific Coast. As the fish provider, the whale-goddess, she was the source of all food AMBERELLA (Baltic) - She fell in love with the Prince of the seas and went to live under the waves with him, becoming a sea-goddess. She threw chunks of amber on the shore as farewell gifts to her family
Just blended & back in stock our luscious sea inspired potions... Amber Seas, Mermaid Song, Yemaya, Cliodna & Flowing Waters
Wear to embrace the power of the Sea & the Goddess |
The Festival of Lammas
Lammas marks the middle of summer & the first of 3 Pagan harvest festivals. We experience a sense of abundance when cutting the first grains and picking the ripe fruits & vegetables. Yet at the same time always aware of the dark winter ahead & the need to store our bounty. Although in the heat of summer this is hard to fathom, the festival of Lammas (August 1st) actually marks the end of summer & the beginning of fall. The days will start growing shorter until autumn's end (October31st). For me, I am going to enjoy the warmth & celebrate the harvest with friends, loved ones and of course, food. Fresh breads, summer squash, berry pies, herbal teas, sweet corn, watermelon, homemade ice cream....& so much more. Choose what you want as long as it is seasonal & fresh. Goddesses reminiscent of this Sabbat include mother & agriculture goddesses such as Demeter, Isis & Gaia |
