Mmmmmmm...love is in the air
Valentine's Day...a day to share with a lover, but it's just as much about loving ourselves! So today, may I suggest you be your own sweetheart? That's right-show yourself some love...relax with a foot massage...play your favorite songs (you know, the kind that make your knees go weak)...watch a sappy movie...AND, get chocolate...Who says you need someone to buy it for you? You are your own true love...always remember that.

The New Moon
February 13th ushers in the New Moon, a good time for starting something new, be it, love, romance, a new job or a new project. It is also a good time to cleanse & with that in mind I reflect on this winter while watching a storm rage outside my window. The severity of the cold & snow got me thinking about the cycle of the seasons & beauty. This past Saturday, the world outside my door turned white with a record 2 feet of snow. When I stepped outside, everything: the ground, trees, roofs, the street were all covered. I live on a fairly deserted street (mostly summer residences). It was a surreal experience-everything frozen in place & utter silence. Standing amidst the snow with not a soul in sight, I felt at peace. And though I absolutely could live without the cold, I can honestly say that I am blessed to have had the opportunity to experience both the bitterness & beauty of the season. |

Aphrodisia Passion Tea 
1 pinch Rosemary
2 pinches Thyme
2 tsp. Black Tea
1 pinch Coriander
3 fresh Mint leaves (or 1/2 tsp. dried)
5 fresh rosebud petals (or 1 tsp. dried)
5 fresh Lemon tree leaves (or 1 tsp. dried Lemon peel)
3 pinches Nutmeg
3 pieces Orange peel
Place all ingredients into teapot. Boil 3 cups or so of water and add to cup.
Sweeten with honey if desired. Serve hot. |
