In a Witch's year, holidays are rhythmic, magical, sublime. They make sense, and the spirit finds you. Winter seems far less daunting when you celebrate the return of light in the heart of the darkness. And the dog days of summer seem tamer when you realize that the Sun's mighty force wanes a little more with the passing of each day. On the Wheel of the Year, every Earth change is a celebration, and every celebration is an opportunity to strengthen your connection to yourself, your people, your planet, and your God/Goddess. Oh, my Goddess- Surgery went exceedingly well & I am home from the hospital. As I sit here (pleasantly numb on percocet & valium courtesy of my surgeon) & listening to holiday music, I am indeed thankful to be alive. I find myself looking at everything with new eyes & delighted nose. Sparkling decorations & twinkling lights bring such pleasure and a whiff of the seasonal greens & warm woods decorating the wreath on my door refreshes my mind. I will not be baking this year, but I am sure the delicious aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg & ginger that make my mouth water will be along for the celebration.

Winter Solstice celebrates the birth of the sun and the beginning of Winter. The Goddess manifests as the Great Mother and the God as the Sun Child. In the afternoon of this winter day The Great Mother blessed us in the form of a shimmering sun breaking through the clouds-bringing hope for the future. Tis the season to set aside the differences that separate us, to look inside and find peace. This is the spirit of the season. The rituals & celebrations may have changed over time...but the ancient intentions of love, peace, joy & goodwill prevail. Today, in this multiverse of ours, it is important to give more than you take.
Gather food & clothing-giving what you collect to those in need. Give someone special the gift of your time. This is the time to assess & look forward to a new year. To embrace & forgive. Do magick for a more peaceful planet.

Learn effective ways to use aromatherapy to balance, open and enhance the energy centers known as Chakras. Discover how different essential oils resonate with the properties of specific Chakras. The workshop will end with a personal chakra mediation and grounding session.
