Our beach is now deserted except for a few surfers & I can honestly say I am enjoying the solitude. The scent of the tide has changed- a harbinger of the upcoming season. I am looking forward to autumn with its blazes of color & settlng chill. Our leaves have yet to change, but there is something magickal & mystical in the air. The turning of the Wheel is once again underway.

Read in ScienceDaily - What you smell as you sleep has the power to influence your dreams, says new research presented at the 2008 American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Foundation in Chicago, IL.
German researchers used specific scents to simulate subjects during sleep. They then recorded the subjects' impressions when they were awakened. When using an unpleasant odor, the dream was predominantly negative, while under stimulation with a pleasant aroma nearly all dreams were positive.
