Once in a Blue Moon
Once in a Blue Moon is a way of saying not very often. A Blue Moon is the rare second full Moon to occur in a month. On average, there are at least 40 months that have 2 Full Moons in every century, therefore a Blue Moon will occur at least once every two-and-a-half years.
The 2007 Blue Moon: May or June?
So, you say, who is right? Well it depends where in the world you live- geographic location makes all the difference. ( Due to time change,In Europe, the Blue Moon occurs in June) This means that taking in account the time differences, the full moon is at the first of your new month & falls at the end of the preceding month somewhere else. The "blue" one is always the 2nd full moon in the same month.
